Yes, that is Paul Humphrey and the whole group is the cream of the crop of L.A. based musicians. Sadly, all except Paul and Ernie have passed away.

just saw him tonight in pasadena. he was good tonight. but this video real shows him at his best. my goodness. yeah robert, i agree, it is a shame we have to look back to find the best music, when we should be living in the present. things just aren't so organic like they once were.
