@6969smurfy They will when gas gets up to $15+ a gallon. It's not so much "big brother" as it is a business scheme. The remnants of Standard oil (shell, BP, Mobil, ect...) are making a killing right now. Once everyone stops driving their cars because of the price they'll make a miracle device that saves gas mileage to keep oil production and profit up. The patents exist and are owned by those companies. You can even look up the patent numbers, they're public record.

It's a scam perpetrated by those that control the energy industry; logic and basic (bullshit) economics says if the price of oil goes down then gasoline should go down.
Those that run the energy system have no interest in CHEAP energy and will fight mightily to NOT institute any device that would get 100 mpg; it's not to their benefit.

Most folks don't know that engines are, or at least the carburated ones used to be, fired up for their first time on natural gas, NOT GASOLINE! There was a hat that attached to the top of the carb that was hooked up to a natural gas feed line. Turn on the valve, start the engine, and break it in! And yes, Smokey Yunick is the man!
Your wrong about timing, a typical engine injects more fuel then the engine needs, hence this is called slow burn technology, as the spark ignites the fuel, the fuel droplets explode and expand and transfer energy into work while excess fuel is fed into the exhaust which is why we need cat. converters. A fuel vapor gas is a much faster burn process which you can gain a 50% power advantage if you move the timing around 50% after top dead center, this is fast burn technology. Smokey Y. is king.
Best thing is not to tell anyone and use it on your own vehicle,and leave it at that. otherwise you end up dead or in an unfortunate suicide:aka hit.
