Not always sometimes they just outjump the shot blocker's height advantage. Jordan'sfamous dunk of Ewing in the 1992 playoffs was a slightly different case. Michael actually took off before Ewing did. Ewing actually reached the height of his jump and was starting to fall back down but michael kept going higher and dunked it over him.

Hakeem averaged 33.0 ppg in those playoffs (this is 95 right they played in 94 & 95), so I feel good for the midget he had a little moment of sunshine. Hakeem dominated that series and that whole playoffs. See his Wikipedia page for his stats in those playoffs. BTW Hakeem HOF lock KJ zero chance.
