@readmystupidcomments I'm Swedish, I hate Federer and it was a 123 MPH forehand. You don't hit foreheads in tennis as that can result in a default. But sure, I'll let you believe whatever you want.
@readmystupidcomments Get real. You a fucking idiot. Murray can`t even hit a 143 M/PH SERVE!!!! His hardest is around 138 M/PH. I doubt he can hit an FH faster than most pros can hit serves. 143 M/PH is considered a cannon, only 13 M/PH from the record of 156 M/PH hit by Karlovic in Davis Cup. Get owned pussy.
@readmystupidcomments You are retarded. A) Your English is just horrendous. B) I never said Monfils hit the biggest FH ever I was just stating a fact about an FH he hit. C) It WAS the biggest/hardest FH ever - until the 2011 US Open, in which James Blake hit one clocked at 125 M/PH. That`s a fact. Murray is a little pusy and can`t hit any harder than my 7 yearr old sister. So all in all, you know nothing about tennis/tennis trivia & facts; your English is awful & you suck at arguing. Dumbass.
And also, you should not take radar gun as it is. Its outcome can be very misleading. Old retired pros who used to serve around low 100 mph in old speed gun serves over 120 mph in senior tours (after years of retirement). Speed gun is not the same for sure. And I do not buy equipment argument. As long as you hit the sweet spot, which pros always do on their serves, racket materials or string materials do not make much difference. It is simple physics and it has been tested before.
That was pretty big. That was a basically flat forehand that landed by the baseline by luck. Flat forehand travels way faster than top spin ones. I guess people do not really understand what that means these days.
@nocode61 Wel atleast I know haha, thats why rafa's 110 mph fh doesnt look as fast as a lot of other players 100mph fh's, because the spin slows it down where as the others dont use as much spin.
I agree. But you are missing a few facts here. Sure his wild forehand clocks 100mph with today's radar gun. But 100mph would be more like 80 mph back in early 90s equipment, which is still very fast. But radar gun only measures the speed of the ball very close to the impact. Just see how fast Rafa's forehand is after it travels 10 meters. I bet you Krajiceks lucky forehand here was considerably faster. I am pretty sure of it.
@nocode61 Oh no, I completely agree the equipment now and then are very different. And ya I know it what point the radar measures (the highest speed of anything) which is near impact. but I still think rafa had more juice in his 110 mph even tho it slowed down than richard had on this one. But richards looked a helluva lot faster, although it was a bit lucky haha
@FedererNation2RF AO 2009 SF vs Nadal, get this match in full from somewhere, I snatched it from the torrent, the match is epic, 4th set tie-break is just pure mastery, 3 unbelievable fh winners from Verdasco
to everybody that thinks that the hardest forehand comes from gonzo or delpo ore blake
look at the rackets they are using and look at the racket gonzo delpo and blake are using
big diference
