Interesting to see how success affected them... They changed from creative 'we-dont-care-what-the-world-t­hinks' genius nutters to a pretty boy 'trying-so-hard-to-be-cool-but­-are-generic-sell-outs' ego outfit.

The 10 minute Bongo solo in Liverpool's L2 club though in the fairly early days was probably the best moment in my gig going life.

When I found out that they'd disbanded, I was in tears. After their last album I was waiting for them to come to the states but they never made it. I've never felt this way about a band. Lot of bands break up every year but it does't really affect me usually. The Beta band'll always have special place in my heart. Thank you Beta band!
