Yes, that's it I guess. Men created God and coudl only envisage him as a man becasue they were in fear of him. You have a choice to make whether to accept that gift & spend eternity with Jesus in Heaven or reject it, however, the alternative is eternity in hell. A situation like this is proof of how prevelant satan is in our world and if a believer is not vigilent satan can make us stumble and fall. @mycatistigger well, u have to consider this, I am christian and i have to be honest, the bible clearly says that sinners are gonna burn in hell, but thinking deeper into it lying is a sin, so therefore almost everyone "masturbation, lying, stealing all are sins" but if we think like that then why do we christians still believe? Well it is simple, we believe that love conquers all, because of love we are forgiven and because of love we learn to share and bring a difference.

Yes, that's it I guess. Men created God and coudl only envisage him as a man becasue they were in fear of him. This also accounts for the discrepancies in the punishements for adultery etc, women are to be killed, men get away with it, women are not allowed to become preachers, men are, but the questions remains why are we still calling God a 'He'? Shoudln't we change it to something less gender specific?

The act of creation is not don by any gender its don by a supreme been. No matter all the referred passages in the word to a he... God is absolute there is not thing greater. Its not wise to say all those nasty things if u don't agree... I believe although I have had a lot of bad experiences with people that I once trusted... Well in the ancient days (and even today) males were considered the dominant gender. the term "He" or "Him" or "Father" is just a representative term, a term used to represent the dominance and power of God.

@tallliza I reached out to him in faith and He responded to my needs. Churches are not holy in any sense they are just a meeting place for believers to come together to worship Him. Man is no better than the animals of this world but He made us to rule over the animals, We act like them though but He made a provision for Us(Jesus Christ). Your part D is hard for me to understand but I have faith that God allows nothing to happen wihout a reason and I have to keep my faith in Him.

@tallliza Jesus came into this world not just for the Christians(Protestants) but all people muslim, hindu, christian, etc...All people just have to believe in Him not the doctrines of the different churches, beliefs but Him and Him alone...All men good or evil will leave this world the same way, this earthly body must die, it is what happens afterward with your soul. Believe in Him and receive eternal life or denounce him and suffer eternally. Be light in this world not darkness.

This concept of the immortal soul was introduced into christinaity by Tertlian around 200 AD, to justify the salvation story.

@tallliza The original manuscripts of the bible foretell of God sending a provision to the world. My faith holds more water than you may think I know what I experience and still am for that matter. If We don't have faith than what do we have to look forward to in our life? God doesn't ask for you to put your brain aside He gives you a choice. and if you don't have a soul then I guess your life's experiences are all for nothing? Read his word no mortal man could come up with that for sure.

@tallliza Because if you did you would have a better understanding and revelation...But I can say that I tried to read it before when I didn't have the faith I have now and I would read the beginning of Genesis and hop over to Revelations...the beginning and the end...but what is in between is where we learn of God's plan and His provision for those who trust in Him completely.

(It would also explain why the bible demands adulterous women be killed, while men get to walk away. Why women who are not virgins are to be killed, while men get to walk away. Why 'The gateway to hell lies between a woman's thighs' and all the other nasty passages the bible has towards women.

@mycatistigger,while alot of you said is true,it's like trying to teach your children there are laws to follow and then there are perks-good and bad.Jesus also was saddened by his wiping out everyone but 8 souls with the flood and gave a promise not to do it again(rainbow).Alot of what you go back to reference is in the Old Testament,He finally gave us a way to be with Him,when He shed His innocent blood for OUR sins.

@mycatistigger No, Jesus is God. There are three persons in God, the Father, Son and the Spirit. Jesus is the Son; the Father is referred to in the Bible as the "LORD God". You'll often see LORD in all caps; LORD refers to the Father God. I hope that makes sense. =)

@natonyh Everywhere the LORD is in all capitals is actually where God's name Yahweh (Meaning I AM) belongs, As it is in the original Hebrew scripture! Just giving you some truth there brother =)
If you would like to know more search it up sometime, many versions of the bible have his name noted below in Exodus 3:13–15 (Look at the notes some bibles do not include his name here, but most do.)
I mean God has many names, but that is the name he proclaims to be remember for all time!

@RicheyDixon i came up with a theory that involves the book of genesis (fig leaves) buddha (sitting under the bodhi fig tree) jesus (many sayings about figs) ross horne's book (new health revolution) and science (figs are the most important source of food for fruit eating rainforest animals). i then experimented on the figs by eating mainly dried figs (same brand) for over 6 years now and found cycles which i related to the numbers in psgs 11/12 of the book of revelations.

@RicheyDixon so far i have had eliminations at days 504, 840, 1176, 1512, 1848, 2184, and expect my 7th at day 2520. today is day 2292. i have definitely found something. i am not lying. so many songs have been written about what i have discovered.....the foo fighters last 3 albums...."vertigo" by U2 (my first name is phil).....coldplay's last 2 albums. an elimination is a day when you will get flu like symptoms and lay in bed all day felling terrible...stuff will be washed out of your body.

mycatistigger. Jesus offers His gift of salvation to you through His death on the cross. You have a choice to make whether to accept that gift & spend eternity with Jesus in Heaven or reject it, however, the alternative is eternity in hell. There also needs to be an acknowledgement of sin and repentance from it. This is the most important decision you will ever make so i encourage you to not take it lightly. I know I am free from the chains of sin because of my faith in Jesus Christ. Praying4U

In order to believe something is true or not you have to have read & studied it. I'm not talking about glancing through it but doing a thorough study with a commentary book to understand it.You will undoubtedly find the Bible to be true. True in the salvation of Jesus Christ. A situation like this is proof of how prevelant satan is in our world and if a believer is not vigilent satan can make us stumble and fall. The young victim is loved by Jesus and can take away any anger or bitterness that could hurt them for years. God can work in a negative situation like this and show how glorious and wonderful He is.
