i thinkin and its ust a guess that it doesnt have pistons honestly how do u get a conrod crank and piston moving in the distance of a puple knex rod seriously??
man how do u make ur crank and cam so tiny with the parts that knex made the ones i make are f#&king massive and break to easy hey how big would you say that engine is ??
that is tha weirdest layout eva its so tiny how do the rockers work what i did was i made a v6 and i used over head cam and vallve spring on a shaft which springed back after the stroke 1 for inlet 1 for exhaust i timed it right to the nearest tooth on the gear nice work
does it have pistons under the cams? anyway, nice job with the gearing and belts. its pretty tough to make a functioning engine that small. im building a bigger version of a v8.. i'll post my video once its done.
The pistons are directly underneath the valves i pull out in this video- if i pointed the camera down one of the two holes that the valves operate in you would see the very top of the piston. Im currently modifying the engine-experimenting with turbochargers. I'll post some more videos of it once its complete. the cam is in the valley of the engine about an inch down from the blower. Underneath that sits the crankshaft just like a typical push rod v8. Its a challenge building at this scale...
