Bea Wainand her husband, a famous radio announcer Andre Baruch had a radio show called Mr. and Mrs. Music. She also sang for many years on The Lucky Strike Hit Parade during the early 40's.

For me there is no more evocative singer than Bea Wain. Every song she sang turned to magic. What always strikes me most is her total professionalism countered by a totally natural feeling and sense of time, meter and rhythm.

I'm so happy to hear that you spoke with Bea Wain a few months ago. Do you happen to have her address? I would love to write to her. My father played trumpet in Larry Clinton's band and he and my mother knew Bea Wain well. I still have some 16 mm. films of the band with Bea traveling on a bus.
