@MiserableOldFart- I'm proud of my English Nonconformist Protestant Heritage as an American. I view this song as one of the most beautiful tunes ever written, which expresses the highest emotional love for ones homeland. Instead of being considered leftist/socialist, why couldn't it more easily be seen as expressing LIBERTY and FREEDOM as these terms were originally defined by The Founding Fathers of the USA. Socialism will imprison as sure as feudalism.

Jerusalem was a short poem written by William Blake in 1804. In 1916 Hubert Parry wrote the music to it. It is now best known today as the hymn "Jerusalem". This clip was taken at St Davids fortress in Jerusalem.
