Want even more fun info? "Doc" Bailey told me that when Renegade finishes their aerobatic AEIO233 version of the Lycoming engine it could be installed in the Falcon and *light* aerobatics allowed (T&T Aviation already performed spins, loops, and rolls in it)! :D
Adding the Garmin 30 gives you the ability to do IFR TRAINING. Obviously, being a lightsport, you can't actually fly IFR, but the Falcon makes for a great IFR trainer. Jim.
I'd like to point out that the fuel burn Chas mentioned was with a new engine that wasn't yet broke in. Now that it is broke in low cruise burn is down to 5 to 5.5 GPH. Jim
You can see the number of hours these two pilots have represented by the colour of their faces, about the clouds, the sun is always shining, great video!
And btw, here are some basic performance characteristics (from Wikipedia): Maximum speed: 140 mph; 220 km/h (120 kn) Cruising speed: 129 mph; 207 km/h (112 kn) Never exceed speed: 167 mph; 269 km/h (145 kn) Range: 529 mi; 852 km (460 nmi) G limits: +6/-3 Maximum glide ratio: 14:1
What is the ...flight range....of that airplane ? Will if fly from Washington DC to East Carolina University....in Greenville North Carolina on a tank of fuel ?
That is one beautiful bird. Love going out and just watching it fly out of my home airport.
