  • what the f u c k? rip off CHEERS or something?

  • I never realized how creepy this was.

  • Best intro song ever. Only rival is family matters

  • @DLGINC - Perfect Strangers!

  • love that 80's guitar xD

  • as long as we keep on giving, we can take anything that comes our way :D

  • Im still laughing that he had a friend named Boner!!!!1 lmao id kill myself if that was my nickname!!!!

  • @RayShardC16 He did kill himself in real life...Andrew Koenig

  • @TheCalicoTwo The first season was sung by B.J. Thomas by himself 2-7 was sung by a combination of B.J. Thomas and Dusty Springfield or B.J. Thomas and Jennifer Warnes. some of the final season was sung by Acapella.

  • BJ Thomas and Dusty Springield sing this.

  • This intro used to confuse me at first and I didn't know why. Later it turned out that, according to my dad, some families were there when all this stuff happened throughout history. He didn't think much of the show so much as he found the intro interesting. He told me that maybe what I felt was that I was there or something in past lives. I told him I wasn't an actor, I was a kid and he was like not now but who knows when you grow up. Haha, now I study screenwriting in college and got an AA.

  • Is this from Warner Home Video's Complete First Season?

  • NOSTALGIA........

  • RIP Boner!!!

  • dude I don't blame Kirk Cameron for becoming hardcore christian, I mean being 16 in hollywood in the 80s with blow, hookers, blood suckers wanting to steal your money, you could either turn out like lindsay lohan or do a complete 180 and becoming super religious...

  • @PIncorrect haha... so true and we can totally see who made the better decision. KC helps ppl... LL almost killed ppl.

  • Cocaine is a hell of a drug!

  • Unfortunately, Lindsay is the most well-adjusted member of the f'ed up Lohan family

  • @PIncorrect Yeah but there's also one other alternative which only the bravest or least lazy consider: the military. I think if you were to become super-religious it'd have to be part of your upbringing already. Its not something I think that people can just jump right into and decide like oh, I'm gonna know all about this. Most times, kids have a mom or someone who was always on their back to go to church but they didn't listen until what you just said sobered them up to seeing the light.

  • that not being super religious thats being rightous and to have a relationship with god. Super religious are people who turn away from people doesn`t have the same values as them. Just because he turned away from sin and Kirk Cameron has a relationship with the lord, DOES NOT mean he is super religious. Its just rightous and up lifting

  • @PIncorrect Kirk knows the truth....cant wait to meet him.

  • 80s 90s theme songs were the best

  • alan thicke is the man

  • is this the song they sampled for MY KAPOWSKI???

  • I laughed my ass off when I saw him on Tim and Eric endorsing some kinda poopy pants

  • 0:19 thats the best

  • @mrserfin1 ooooo-oooooooo-ooo-ooooh

  • What the hell, man? I never noticed it until right now but Season One ripped off Cheers! lol

  • haha you're right

  • @baronvg Yes very similar.

  • I noticed that too.

  • i just notice that too was it the same creators. I always like this version of the growing pains song .

  • @baronvg ITs why they changed it.......seriously......people noticed it then as well

  • lol

  • i remember this show when i was kid. btw the dads canadian

  • Internet fight!!!!!!

  • i miss shows like these. Damn I feel old.

  • Yup. Very much like Cheers indeed!

  • Reminds me of the opening credits to Cheers.

  • It'll be funny if it mixed this opening credits with Where Everybody Knows Your Name.

  • Ok, lets stop the religious debate right now...first off I usually don't like indignant Christians who swear that they're the only ones that are right, but Kirk Cameron doesn't come off like that so lets leave him be, he seems like a good guy, lets talk about the opening...seems a lot like it was ripped off from Cheers

  • I never thought of the open being a Cheers rip-off because the first thing I usually thought of was the inside of an older Subway restaurant.

  • kirk's a good guy

  • I'm happy to believe in God and that He is the only one who can get this corrupted world back on its feet. Goodness knows we need Him.

  • Kirk Cameron looks really hot

  • Too bad he turned into a Christian nutjob...

  • Yeah, that's bad! He should have become one of those cool rockers...

  • Not all people who are Christian are "nutjobs". I'd rather Kirk be a Christian with integrity than a rocker with none.

  • You are correct that not all Christians are nutjobs. However, Kirk Cameron happens to be a nutjob. I'm sorry if my opinion offends you.

  • Well, I'm not sure exactly what in your opinion makes Kirk a "nutjob" in contrast to others - but from what I know about the type of false ministry he's in - then I agree with you. Which is sad, he had so much promise.

  • That's very true...

  • That's really wrong of you to say. Yeah he might take things to far with the Christian stuff but to me that makes him a better man than a rocker who does drugs.

  • I see no difference between a man addicted to drugs and a man addicted to God. Again, apologies if it offends, but it is my opinion. They are both filling themselves with nothingness for a fake reward.

  • Now, that's where I think your wrong. I understand if you personally don't believe in God, but I admire people who believe there is more and better things in this life than what most either don't want to know or are ignorant of. What I object to the fact is that Kirk is in a false Christian ministry.

  • Well, we shall have to agree to disagree, eh?

  • classic!

It calls back my old memory~

  • I LOVE GROWING PAINS!!! i used to watch it on Nick@Night. i wish they still showed this and laverne&shirley&brady bunch, those kinds of shows.

  • I just saw a TV show showing the opening credits and making fun of them. I remember seeing them before, and I had to refresh my memory. It't not bad, but it would never work today.

  • That's the problem with Today.

I'm a cynical and pessimistic person; and i very much a appreciate these silly family comedy's that I grew up on.

What do kids watch now? Sexy In the City and Scrubbs? We had edgy stuff back in the day, but at least we had something for the family too.

  • I like this version the best.

  • I like this version the best. It's hard to find.

  • Too bad shows these days don't have great opening themes anymore...now they just go straight to the action.

  • Thanks for posting! In Spain it was called "Los Problemas Crecen"

    :)

  • I like this version better than later versions with Jennifer Warnes.

  • same graphics as Cheers

  • yep..

  • Really shitty sound quality CanadaBoy1619.

  • Actually thats what makes it better...so f off with ya JohnoEAL

  • Nah sorry son, better sound quality always sound better.

  • I love this version of the song :) Thanks for uploading it!
