@TheCalicoTwo The first season was sung by B.J. Thomas by himself 2-7 was sung by a combination of B.J. Thomas and Dusty Springfield or B.J. Thomas and Jennifer Warnes. some of the final season was sung by Acapella.
This intro used to confuse me at first and I didn't know why. Later it turned out that, according to my dad, some families were there when all this stuff happened throughout history. He didn't think much of the show so much as he found the intro interesting. He told me that maybe what I felt was that I was there or something in past lives. I told him I wasn't an actor, I was a kid and he was like not now but who knows when you grow up. Haha, now I study screenwriting in college and got an AA.
dude I don't blame Kirk Cameron for becoming hardcore christian, I mean being 16 in hollywood in the 80s with blow, hookers, blood suckers wanting to steal your money, you could either turn out like lindsay lohan or do a complete 180 and becoming super religious...
@PIncorrect Yeah but there's also one other alternative which only the bravest or least lazy consider: the military. I think if you were to become super-religious it'd have to be part of your upbringing already. Its not something I think that people can just jump right into and decide like oh, I'm gonna know all about this. Most times, kids have a mom or someone who was always on their back to go to church but they didn't listen until what you just said sobered them up to seeing the light.
that not being super religious thats being rightous and to have a relationship with god. Super religious are people who turn away from people doesn`t have the same values as them. Just because he turned away from sin and Kirk Cameron has a relationship with the lord, DOES NOT mean he is super religious. Its just rightous and up lifting
Ok, lets stop the religious debate right now...first off I usually don't like indignant Christians who swear that they're the only ones that are right, but Kirk Cameron doesn't come off like that so lets leave him be, he seems like a good guy, lets talk about the opening...seems a lot like it was ripped off from Cheers
Well, I'm not sure exactly what in your opinion makes Kirk a "nutjob" in contrast to others - but from what I know about the type of false ministry he's in - then I agree with you. Which is sad, he had so much promise.
That's really wrong of you to say. Yeah he might take things to far with the Christian stuff but to me that makes him a better man than a rocker who does drugs.
I see no difference between a man addicted to drugs and a man addicted to God. Again, apologies if it offends, but it is my opinion. They are both filling themselves with nothingness for a fake reward.
Now, that's where I think your wrong. I understand if you personally don't believe in God, but I admire people who believe there is more and better things in this life than what most either don't want to know or are ignorant of. What I object to the fact is that Kirk is in a false Christian ministry.
I just saw a TV show showing the opening credits and making fun of them. I remember seeing them before, and I had to refresh my memory. It't not bad, but it would never work today.

I never thought of the open being a Cheers rip-off because the first thing I usually thought of was the inside of an older Subway restaurant.

Qermaq 2 years ago
Yeah, that's bad! He should have become one of those cool rockers...
gerbelle90 2 years ago
Not all people who are Christian are "nutjobs". I'd rather Kirk be a Christian with integrity than a rocker with none.
EmilyGreene1984 2 years ago
You are correct that not all Christians are nutjobs. However, Kirk Cameron happens to be a nutjob. I'm sorry if my opinion offends you.

That's the problem with Today.
I'm a cynical and pessimistic person; and i very much a appreciate these silly family comedy's that I grew up on.
What do kids watch now? Sexy In the City and Scrubbs? We had edgy stuff back in the day, but at least we had something for the family too.
