i did 993 of these every day, now do 501 cause i got a hernia from 2 many pullups. i own this dude. so does my 52 year old female english teacher, who used to do 500 sit ups.
what the fuck are you ttalking about? he didn't win anything his whole career, now he's a lame broadcaster on espn. i got the secong highest score on the act reading for twelve year olds and the highest in the state of ohio. i'm pretty sure that there's a better basketball player than this guy in evry state cept for alaska.
but if Jalen Rose took 3 minutes to do 100 crunches... wouldn't you take over 30 minutes to do 993? Assuming you're human an you get tired, also assuming you claim to do them all at once...
yeah but it depends on your body fat% if you are fat chances are you have got a six pac but it doesnt show cause you got fat covering it. are you overweight? no offense

He's not trying to be smart he's right. First you can't isolate upper and lower parts of muscle groups. A muscle either contracts or it doesn't. Some muscles like your hamstrings can be worked as knee flexors or Hip extensors. Second Jalen is only using his abs to stabilize. Most of the work is being done by his hip flexors. It's not developing strength or power which it seems would be more important to an aging player to maintain then localized muscular endurance. Maybe injury prevention?
There's the lower PART of your abs, but there are no lower abs. The abdominus rectus works as 1 muscle unit through the all-or-nothing reaction of muscular energetics. You CANNOT work the "lower abs" through any exercise - you use the entire abdominal wall.
To work on your abs Mugsy. Jalen stays in good shape, but too bad the Suns did not use him like last year. If he is not with the Suns this year, i hope he goes somewhere good because Jalen has alot of game.
These dont really work your abs. The abs are getting very little work as they contract statically, with almost no ROM. This exercise targets the hip flexors, and doing high reps like you see here is virtually useless, as it does not elicit hypertrophy, it does not increase strength, and it cannot be sports specific. This activity has almost no benefits at all, other than making you better at this activity.

no if you want abs workout your abs every 3-4 days and eat 4-6 small meals a day with high protein and low carbs

that is a great workout for your legs as well. mainly the hamstring muscle. some quad. to increase resistance wear ankle weights.
