I've been a fan of sixties guitar bands my whole life. It amazes me that it took 47 years and YouTube for me to discover The Spotnicks. They are both strange and delightful. These guys aren't from America, are they? They seem too cool to be from my homeland. Keep this good stuff comin'! The Spotnicks RULE! Thanks for uploading this clip! @Gladbacher55 Der Trick ist, wei wir ja alle wissen, das die Spotnicks, entgegen z.B. den Shadows, HiFi Verstärker für ihre Gitarren nutzten... das hört man deutlich raus... Die Shadows hatten ihre Vox Amps mit der legendären EL 84 Röhre von Philips, ein ganz anderer, aber Shadows typischer Sound.

Has been talking to Bosse Winberg. A really remarkable guitarist. He did his guitars and even amps by himself. Would be interesting to hear some of the so called guitar kings of today with home made amps!! The best with The Spotnics is the helmets they used to look like austronauts. They came from a hairdresser. It was the hoods that was used to do permanents. Somethings is just to good to be true.....

Spotnicks, one of the worlds best instrumental groups. A little wrong playing in the beginning but it is more complicated to play when holding the guitar up like that.

He had a very strange guitarsound, Bosse. I think he made his own amplifier, a tube amp that never went into distortion. It also sounds like he EQ:ed it to have no midrange. Just treble and bass frequences.
