  • awsome ijust bought me one lmao love it

  • i love your reviews

  • Great vid

    i love my classic

  • lol at 1:26 ur like ".....Holy crap look at this".

  • dont worry mac's suck im on mine right now and i had it for about 2 year and the screen has already cracked and we had to get that fixed and now my stupid battery is like dead(broken all of the apples computers do that at some time) and it has to stay pluged in 24/7 or it turns off.

  • sigh everyone now in days have a mac i have a bull shit gateway

  • Same =]

  • DUDE ur Reviews are AWSOME M*

    on my favs

  • i have a windows vista laptop - no mac (im not luxurious lol) - i guess i can use classic on windows? that ipod is sooo sexy!!

  • I bought 120GB dude :D

  • Do you know if there are any differences between 160gb and 120gb apart from hdd size and physical depth size of ipod?

I intended to get 160gb Dec 08, now they have discountinued it. I'm quite annoyed as 120gb doesnt give sufficient extra space to allow for growth! Peoples media collections will increase not decrease! I'm probably going to have to purchase 160gb via ebay! There was rumours of 200+gb ipod in 2009.

  • jesus! 120GB is enough!!! 30,000 songs max is loads!!! oh and 200+GB cannot be made because ipod just don't need to keep making "deeper" space sizes.... i think O_o

  • Search on google 240gb ipod, the 240gb was first mentioned when apple released the classic 160gb bac in Sept 07.

"10th Sept 08, right after Steve J. rolled out a "thin" 120GB iPod classic, Toshiba announced its 120GB 4200rpm 1.8" drive, a new high for that slimmer single-platter config. Everybody knows that's the drive for classic iPods. But Toshiba also showed off a fatter 240GB that would fit snugly in the spot where that 160GB drive fits in today's classics.

  • ...so do u think there will be a new classic for sept 2009?

  • present music collection + additional storage for growth of music + 20gb storage for video to watch on the move = minimum of 160gb.

120gb you loose that growth of music and spare storage for temporary videos

  • so how long will the classic last roughly? - like 10 years max???

  • yea I know , but I get my favorite songs in lossless :D

  • what about Lossless on ipod? , does it sound different than mp3 or not?

    nice vid btw ;)

  • I personally have never used Lossless and have no plans to ever use it. It takes up too much space on the hard drive.

  • what about 80 g? black? is good? does your Ipod gets stock as 5 th gen? because of hard drive? does Battery is good enough? in my ipod nano 2 gen wich has 2 years now the battery life is still 23 h

  • i got the black one, i looooove it! :D

  • it would be cool if ipods can start doing those intros like on the imacs

  • can you shuffle the songs on your playlist?

  • yup

  • does it only play MP4?

  • yes

  • Cool Vidz. Trent! Learnin' Alot man! Thankx!

  • Hi trent your videos are great!you have very nice voice:)And though my english isn't so good i understand you!!:)and this is one from many great videos:) I hope you understand me:D:)

  • Great vids. You gotta be sponsored, u made me buy iPod. Thansk trent.

  • and it comes with 3 games

  • hi trent how do you put videos on a ipod classic cud u do a video for me plz 2 show me thankz if u do

  • You must place the videos into your iTunes library. It's as simple as dragging the video file directly into the iTunes library listing.

  • lol.. i kept trying that forever but that never worked for some kind of reason..

  • It's the operating system for the iPod.

  • ...and the file system. Its like that on computer HDDs as well.

  • dose it come charged

  • The iPod Nano comes half charged, and i guess the Classic does as well...

  • i got one now:P:P I LOVE IT

    thank's for the tip Trent

  • I cant wait til i get mine for Christmas ..

The time is going by slow

  • 7 days till my classic!

i found your videos really useful in choosing my new media player

    thanks! :D

  • 1 day till mine!

  • what is EQ? (the thing with jazz, dance etc)

  • these are sound settings optimized for different music genres

  • im getting the CLASSIC for my b-day....beginning of next year!!

  • Congratulations. I know you you will enjoy it.

  • i would purchase the classic for sure its holds more than the ipod touch.

  • classic > touch, u rock trent

  • Hold on was that Brand new just out of the box?? On settings it said 74.3 GB free?

Does that mean it comes with 5.7 GB already used??/

Sorry haven't watched all the video yet, just couldn't help but noticing..

  • Yes, and I believe it is the operating system taking up the space.

  • true true...i think the touch is just a novelty at the moment

  • oh my god i need help...i can get either the ipod touch 16gb or the ipod classic 160gb for christmas and i am absolutly stuck...you seem to know alot about ipods and i thought id ask you please reply im in need of assistance.

  • i would get the classic u get more out of it then the touch

  • Yeah, it's better than the touch.

  • Go for the classic

  • touch 2g.

  • "holy crap look at this!" lol

  • Haha

  • Youre Awesome

  • Great review!

  • hey Trent,

your videos are pretty cool, i love when you opened up your new classic, very informative...you have a lot of ipods, more power to you!

  • The iPod Classic you have has 80GB on it, but when you went over settings it said 74.3 GB Free, so how did you use up memory before hooking it to your computer?

  • It's the operating system of the iPod taking up the space.

  • even tough you're a little tech-obsessed, you and your reviews [especially of ipod [classic]s] rock!

  • It wasn't suppose to be funny but the serial number part was hilarious

  • I always laugh at that part myself.

  • How much does the classic cost??

  • I believe it cost me

    $250 at the Apple Store.

  • yea it was...

  • It has great quality, but Im saving up for the classic, I can't afford one more than $250

  • How much was your camcorder? It has awesome quality. I got a cheepy $80 gateway one that holds 5 min of video then it is full and the battery dies. I NEED A NEW ONE!

  • I got it a couple years ago for maybe $300-$400. I am not too sure.

  • Thanks for all of your reviews and videos. i am getting an ipod classic for christmas. your reviews are great and they helped me decide which kind of ipod i want.

  • how long did it take you to receive it from apple?

  • I bought it direct from the Apple Store.

  • can not wait to get one for xmas, although it is pretty laggy.

or maybe i should get a nano. idk.

  • Trent could you please tell me if the ipod classic is a little laggy, wouldn't when new software comes out, that would fix the problem.

  • Honestly, yes it is laggy compared to the 5th gen. I believe it's from all the album artwork being used in the menu interface.

  • thats so long MANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for making this video, its exactly what i wanted to see, i have a 5g...

    living vicariously.

  • 75 Gb????????? i thought it was 80 GB????

  • There is always an amount of space taken up by the operating system. This is the same with computers as well.

  • Ok, i know that.. but does that means that if you buy the ipod touch ( 8gb ) that you will have 3gb of free space?????

  • I am not sure as to how the spacing issue sorts itself out, but it wouldn't be that drastic.

  • Dude, you have a very cool voice i want your voice

  • The Reset setting leaves your music "intact" Ive used it.

  • WOOAAAHHH, look at that

    haha you're ace

    5 STARS!

  • i love your vocal expressions...

  • I got one the day it came out. And I LOVE IT!

  • Thanks... i love it when people show things you normally cant see...

and your voice is awesome for commenting... :)

    GS:mac

  • Very nice video quality! When you browse the menus, does it become laggy because I tried out the new iPod Classics and the new Nanos at my local Best Buy store and when I scroll with the click wheel, it feels like it's not responding and I have to scroll real hard to it to respond.

  • Yes, there is some laggy response with the click wheel while navigating the menus, but it's by no means a dealbreaker.

  • i wish they had a 20 gb ipod classic or nano

  • has it crashed on you yet? i have a 30gb 5.5 gen. ipod video and im thinking about selling it to buy the new 80gb classic but if it crashes like i hear it does, i think ill just keep it

  • No crashses at all.

  • It's only the backlight turning off.

  • Great Quality Man!!

  • awesome quality

  • Thanx for this Video.

  • wow nice vid quality.

  • Thanks for these vids dude. Are you going to make pretty much the same vids once you get your iPod Touch?

  • I don't about getting the iPod Touch. I will have to wait and see.

  • i love your videos!! very informative..

i am so jealous of your new ipod! i wanted to buy one but i stll have my old 5th gen video ipod and i dont know what to do with it...

  • put some songs on and do the coverflow .. I've heard its a little laggy sometimes .. also if you have any comments on the sound quality as compared to the 5G ipod .. thanks

  • Wow, I thought it looked kind of annoying to have the splitscreen interface, but it seems to work very well.

  • What made you decide to go with the iPod classic. More storage? Thats the only downfall of the iPod Touch, lack of storage.

  • Exactly! Lack of storage is what made me get the Classic. I am still getting the Touch, though.

  • nice!
