This was actually the only DBZ game that I LOVED The Big Bang Attack. The other games may have done it abit prettier and looked cooler, but being able to do it the first time in this game was amazing. The feeling of being all powerful like that....wonderful.

@FilMarck I honestly don't think T1 is worth it, just because T3 makes it look pathetic, but if it's for adding to your collection, go for it. I'm sure both are really cheap, so you won't spend much on them.
@vault3000master Tenkaichi 1 has better Graphic Quality than any other Tenkaichi. And Gogeta SSJ4 has the awesome "Aura with Stars" near him, he lacks in other games.
@ichigo Graphics in T3 are sharper, that's what makes it better than T1. In T1 the models weren't outlined, which made the character models look blurry. His aura would have been nice to have in T3 for sure. They tend to add good features in the games, and then they remove them for no apparent reason in the games beyond. Not sure if they have a motive for that.

@ichigo Your forgetting that more effort was incorporated into the character models and destructible's. It's not hard to compare that and realize it as the truth. Also, having extra added effects is unnecessary sometimes. Sure it's nice to have the little extras, but sometimes having more is less.
Don't get me wrong, i'm not intending to start an argument here, i'm just implying that T3's graphics are more refined and have a better shade of color and contrast to it.
@friezler so, the popo's shop way is faster, isn't it? even if you have to buy the seven dragonballs (48.000 zeni) for 21 times to get all the breakthroughs (48.000 x 21... too much -_-) I got only 2 breakthroughs until now, but this really makes you tired, and bored.
@gorance2000 why replaying it 5 times? and I already finished all the tournaments in the game, money will not be a problem winning some tournaments. but why should I replay the saiyan saga?
@gorance2000 I know you get free items when playing history mode, but I already have the most importants of them: virus desease and antidote. I put them on kid gohan and I won easily the tournament on advanced, so don't worry, I know how to make money :)
@iAmSasuke1 I don't understand your comment. When Saiyans, like goku, transform to super saiyan, their hair color becomes yellow (or gold if you prefer). This is true for the anime and for all the games including Budokai 1.
@iAmSasuke1 When did that legend mention green eyes (or even gold hair)? The characters who mentioned it just said every 1000 years a Saiyan reaches a state of power beyond any warrior in the universe. Even Vegeta didn't know what it would look like, and multiple times falsely believed that he, Goku, and even Gohan had become one.
@galacticheroman Playing too much BT3 & RB? You just hold the guard button down and double tap the back button but be sure to keep it down the second time you press it. Hope I helped =)

Yea the problem you talk about wasnt really major at the time it came out. With all these newer games around they look down on Budokai 1 and it pretty unfair how they treat it. Budokai 1 is still fun and perfect in my eyes despite what you and others may think about it. Its not all about the cutscenes in Budokai 1. =P
@mugen11120 Dude, calm down. I'm gonna draw you ca comparison real quick.The PS2 had been around for a long time. It took too damn long to improve its graphics. The Dreamcast which lasted about half as long, looked better. Infact. the reason Sa2/Sa1 wasn't released for the PS2 was because it couldn't render it's graphics.
I remember getting this for the gamecube and staying up all night to finish it, the final fight with Cell was a pain but rewarding when I finally beat him in the early hours of the morning.
I wonder, though...I need to find comparison videos of PS2 vs. GC on the first two Budokai games; the GC version of Budokai 1 had extra cel-shading, but I don't remember seeing it...
The only I have to say about DBZ Budokai 1 cut scenes is way better than any other DBZ game created. And Budokai 1 has that dramatic feeling. DBZ BT3, DBZ Raging Blast, Etc can not compare it's cut scenes with Budokai 1. I always loved the "original"

Nostalgic man. This game made Sayiaman look good. You know there's a problem when that happens. Budokai's series makes the Tenkaichi series look like shit.
I had Budokai, before i had a memory card, so i could never customize, or keep progress, so i never fully beat the game. also me and my friends always made fun of the graphics.
@hairtriggerkid2 They released B1, B2, and Sagas for the Gamecube. after that, the only ones that were on the PS2 other than B1, B2, and Sagas, was B3, Infinite World, and The BT series, even though the BT series was also on the Wii.
This game was great, it actually for once seemed like the anime rather than the later releases which was just a fighting game, And for it being released in "2002" obviously the graphics wouldn't be that good ect..

I had Budokai, before i had a memory card, so i could never customize, or keep progress, so i never fully beat the game. also me and my friends always made fun of the graphics.

@hairtriggerkid2 They released B1, B2, and Sagas for the Gamecube. after that, the only ones that were on the PS2 other than B1, B2, and Sagas, was B3, Infinite World, and The BT series, even though the BT series was also on the Wii.

This game was great, it actually for once seemed like the anime rather than the later releases which was just a fighting game, And for it being released in "2002" obviously the graphics wouldn't be that good ect..
