@marykmac07 its because the salt is a extremely good preservative since fastfood fries namely:burger king, McDonald, Wendy,arbys,,etc. are packed with salt and oil made with salt as the main ingrediant

@DANNYBO1I23 It's not just salt, that would be a fairly natural way of preserving foods. The sugar salt and oil definitely protect from breakdown, but they also bleach lots of their food with chlorine in order to keep it "fresh".

@marykmac07 Salt is a natural preservative as is oil... ever seen those of jars full of vegetables covered in oil... yes they keep for years! Salt was used to preserve food back in the day when there where no Fridges etc. This is why chips don't go off. You can make your own and deep fry them and leave them out see what happens, they will dry out eventually if not covered but will never get moldy.

Burger King continues to increase the prices of their combos during rising gas prices, inflation, and just a suck economy. Wendy's, McDonalds, and Whataburger have done (and are doing) the same thing. Taco Bell is the only fast food place that has been brave enough to lower it's prices, and continues to report positive earnings. I'm going to Taco Bell from now on.
