Lets see, Obama inherited a body with multiple massive hemoraging wounds: Iraq, Afghanistan, financial system(which like the Haitian houses which had no government oversite and restrictions) collapsing everywhere, infrastructure in decay, education system not competitive with leading nations, fossil fuel dependency etc. This almost corpse like patient isn't going to recover quickly. As a moderate, let me just say this ad is misleading. The stimulus has worked in that it has curbed the decline. We're still in a precarious situation as the improvements and positive signs we've seen are all hinged on this government spending. We're losing jobs but at an increasingly lower rate and ideally that will cross the threshold into job creation for the next few quarters. Now that's not to say there isn't a legitimate argument against stimulus, there is, but this ain't it.
