Oh my god, I have two of Lu Watters records, and I absolutely love the style of music he plays. They`re both 78`s. The arrangements sound like authentic late 1920`s music instead of the later time period. His band reminds me of Louis Armstrongs band of the 1930`s

The recording's probably from about 1941-42, although Watters' Yerba Buena Jazz Band did do some recordings later in the 40's, from what I recall. Great band, unforgettable music. Sigh...in remembrance of the Dawn Club, 20 Annie Street, San Francisco CA. RIP! or better, RIJ! :-) And yeah...awesome record player!
