I feel like Kemba Walker can do a lot to the Bobcats, expecially since they drafted Bismack and got Tyrus Thomas healthy. Tyrus proved that he can score some points last season averaging 14. Bismack is a energetic defensive player that can also run the pick and roll. Corey Maggette can do a lot on the offensive end with Kemba playing the point. He has a good team to rely on. In a season or 2, these guys are making the playoffs.

The hornets traded Collison because they believed that CP3 was the future and they needed to acquire picks to get him, yeah some of it comes down to the GM. He didn't have to sign the contract, he didn't have to sign the extension so no he doesn't have the right to go wherever he wants has he's signed a legal document saying that he will remain in New Orleans until 2012.

That's how the NBA has been forever Coop.. Every good team had at least 2 superstars. Paul would match up great with the Knicks. About as well as the Celtics. I can see CP3 running PnRs and alleys with Stoudemire, like with Okafor and Chandler. Melo and CP3 would play well together, especially since they're really good friends. You're right, NYK doesn't need CP3, but CP3 would definitely make NYK a big contender.

This is why i started watching college ball...stars are taking control of the league and small market teams don't have a chance to compete anymore. I'm not a fan of super teams and I dont like the way the nba is headed, but Chris Paul is going to leave after his contract is up and your best option is to get something out of the deal instead of nothing.

finished the video & the players don't hold any loyalty to the actual cities. Do you think any player has loyalty to NY, LA, NO, OKC or any city market big or small? NO. In the few circumstances like D-Rose whose actually playing for his favorite team in his hometown, ok but they don't sign with cities they sign with teams. The superteams just happen to be a current model of branding the players. So saying that he means more to NO than to NY is not only redundent & moot, but truly pathetic.

ok I am pausing in the middle and saying this: Players should decide where they wanna go. If Paul wants NY, Howard wants LA, and anyone else wants to go somewhere & thats their problem. Obviously they know shit we fans don't & a side note on the Celtics, they are on the last year of alot of contracts including Allen & Garnett. So aside from this year, they want to compete every year. Fans don't realize 1 ring isn't enough. The game isn't enough. There is more in the big markets.

i think the driving factor about this all is the teams inability to provide a supporting cast that can compete. playing basketball your whole life and not accomplishing anything is not fun and nothing to be desired. the conventional way of building a team has not been working to good for them so of course they will be willing to try something that they feel would be more effective even if it means hurting fans feelings and leaving the team

Players should go where they want, super teams can be built if they want and when your smaller market team gets good enough to compete and beats them, that win is soooo much more enjoyable. My opinion. And yes I am a Knicks and Yankees fan (team of a thousand all-stars) and I know from baseball that when a team beats the Yankees that win is sweeter.

Unfortunately, this is how the NBA is gonna be for many years. The Celtics and their "Big 3" started a trend in 08, because they won a title that same year. So now all these "superstars" think they can't win without other all stars... Which is somewhat true, I mean, look at the teams that win titles? Multiple HOF's... or all stars. Except Dirk and his crazy playoff run. Players simply can't carry the load anymore by themselves, and big city markets can pay money, and have great talent..

The hornets traded Collison because they believed that CP3 was the future and they needed to acquire picks to get him, yeah some of it comes down to the GM. Still the fact is he can go where ever he wants, no stopping that at this point at least have the heart to do it in a decent way, the whole team may move once he's gone,the city invested in him.

He didn't have to sign the contract, he didn't have to sign the extension so no he doesn't have the right to go wherever he wants has he's signed a legal document saying that he will remain in New Orleans until 2012.

That's how the NBA has been forever Coop.. Every good team had at least 2 superstars. Paul would match up great with the Knicks. About as well as the Celtics. I can see CP3 running PnRs and alleys with Stoudemire, like with Okafor and Chandler. Melo and CP3 would play well together, especially since they're really good friends. You're right, NYK doesn't need CP3, but CP3 would definitely make NYK a big contender.
