Many whale sharks about in the maldives during july? anyone know the best times to see them, im not gonna lie i dont know much about them :) any help would be appreciated!

how gutted am i, we went to the maldives, leartn about the whale sharks, two dives most days for 2 weeks, no whale shark, departure day arives dive master comes up to me n goes hey miles, geuss what we saw on the morning dive, a whale shark! i was very sad

We went in June last year and checked the weather constantly before we went. It said rain and storms for the next month. When we got there it was glorious for the full two weeks. It rained a few times later but that was a welcome relief.
Hope the same is for you too.

Correct it was on of the best moments. To add to it, just befor ewe went in for the dive we saw saw the dorsal and fluke of a humpback whale as well. Diving doesn't get much better eh?
