  • wasn't that Mika Haekinnen who drove the car?

  • IMAGINE PUTTING A NOS KIT IN IT (just jizzed in my pants)

  • thats a 2 year old article by the way

  • posted on the first of april?

  • meh w/e

  • they have one of these as a police car that runs around the m25 ring road chasing high powered cars that the normal police cars cant keep up with, if you cant go faster than 205 mph you CANT get away =P

  • I seriously doubt that.

  • So do I, where would the police put their knuckle dusters.

  • That's bull, of course you can. Just drive at highway speeds for 20 minutes until the Caparo bursts into flame and falls apart, and you're off.

  • @anfman1986 LOL

You think it'll go 20 minutes?

    X-P

  • Lol hold on is this a street legal car?

    XD

  • yes its road legal in btitain but i dont know about anywhere else

  • It's actually got 580bhp, and you should notice the power-to-weight ratio! It is 1160bhp-per-tonne! :)

  • if you look at top gear you see the reality it can go 205 milles an houre and pulls up from 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds but in the corner its terribly if you go to slow the airodinamics won't work so you cant take the corners at all and if the track is wet its even worse, and it has alot of problems while driving it

  • It's sad how so many people actually believe anything that Top Gear or Jeremy Clarkson says. It's comedy and mostly BS, not fact. Jeremy will say anything to get attention, be funny or make the story more interesting. He sucks at driving and doesn't know s**t.

Top Gear is entertaining and I like watching it too but only idiots actually listen to what they say about cars.

  • well i dont think what all the BS is that u say jeremy said.. yes he does joke a lot but normally the figures are spot on.. the Caparo is very prone to understeer and thats a fact..

what i like about it the most is that its very wild and you can kind of imagine what the F1 drivers of the 60s-80s went through in driving their F1s..

  • How can you say that it understeers when the car's suspension is fully adjustable?

Besides, Jeremy is not a good enough driver to even comment on Caparo's handling. If he would know anything about real driving he would have given more and other kinds of comments on the car, and if he were a credible tester he would've mentioned that the car can be set up how the customer wishes.

But he didn't because he doesn't have the knowledge and doesn't care about the truth, just getting viewers.

  • 5putput, yes, Jeremy is a comical person, but he just simply expresses his opinion charismatically. when he discusses a car's performance and technical information, what he is saying is true. if he was lying and making up figures and details of information about a car, car manufactures would not let Jeremy test and film their cars. if a car doesn't handle as well as another car, or isn't as fast, or is built poorly, Jeremy, as would anyone, would discuss it and ADD their views on the facts.

  • how much mph have Caparo T1?

and is it faster then bucatti?

  • definatly not as fast as a bugatti, but u save a few euros

  • its slower on top speed and maybe accel, but in the corners and braking its way better, id take that car over the veyron, not just for the price.

  • the camera car is a v12 aston martin of sorts.

  • Bad ass!

  • they had a blue one on top gear

  • Sounds like a RC nitro powerd car.

  • Hammond said the engine is a supercharged V8, unless that was as-planned before it was in production or they got it wrong. The latter sounds right lol.

  • yeah a 2.4l v8 supercharged and you can kinda hear the whistle of the s/c

  • 3.5l v8 indycar engine. dont think its supercharged.

  • yeah i looked up the specs to be sure and then i realized they prolly have straight cut gears inthe gearbox which would explain the whistle lol

  • No, its a 3.5 liter. The 500 bhp 2.4 liter was scrapped because of lack of power. Go figure.

  • Maybe it's an issue of torque?

500hp is quite a lot, but if it's only an 80hp engine until 4,000 rpm, it might be a bit of a problem.

  • that was the ariel atom

  • The atom has a 4-cylinder K20 Civic Type R engine in it, not a V8.

  • hotness

  • awesome, great sound.

  • Nice footage!!!
