  • sounds like absolute torture, i know what this is like only to well. My doc says emotional stress is a major trigger, and because emotional stress takes so long to go away the slightist but of stress can set you back days :(

  • I have been teated for PVC's since 1997 with 100mgs of Flecainide and 100 mgs of Atenolol. Talk about erectile dysfunction. But it really stops these problems and the atenlol is really for a bad Mitral Valve Prolapse. Do any of you guys take the same meds?

  • Are pvcs caused by brain impulse? I have to ask this because I get them by even the slightest of stress, anxiety, after eating, thinking about them gives me them. I might go an hour without them and then I think about them and boom, they happen again!

  • anybody get some PVC's just by watching this haha.

  • @sjuri23

I seem to get them just by thinking about them! I did get some from listening to them. But for the last 6 months I have been getting about 50-60 an hour minimum. So I get them quite often. However, some FEEL worse than others. Give you that adrenaline rush that just wears you out completely after a while. VERY annoying and even worse when they tell you "Don't worry about it, they are harmless"

  • i have this. today my heart feels like its running extra slow. freeking me out

  • I have this exact same thing and have been worked up so many times I cant even count them all. I have been told numerous times (they even caught them on EKG and the on screen heart monitors) and they all said "Yep those are normal PVCs, nothing to worry about" and the cardiologist said I just have to learn to deal with them. Mine happen more if I eat and I also think my stomach is slightly swollen which makes me go days with them sometimes. Anyways nice video

  • @JoshBlumeSound Amen to all that!

  • I've had this since 1997 and I'm still around (knock on wood)....I hate them and you would think by now I woudn't be concerned but they still worry me even though the Doc says not to worry....and he has them too!

  • wow I also get these all the time. lol The Doctor tells me that everyone in the world has them and they aren't a death sentence. That I will be fine. Like I am causing them O.o That I should stay calm and all. lol what a hoot some doctors are. Mine sound like the way yers sounds. but mine stays that way. I have been trying to find out what is the cause of them. But as of now I am at a loss. The one thing I thought the reason was can't be because I took meds for the stomach and still I have them

  • i dont think the drs always say if you have pvcs because i went to the dr the other day wit h very bad chest pain and he didnt mention anything about my heart like its fast i got the same chest pain with my irregular heart 2 years ago

  • were you put on medication for your pvcs? i think im getting them

  • Im sorry to everyone who is having to deal with this.I use to have this problem back in 08.It would happen two times a minute for about a week.I went to Hospital and the gave me Zantac(Heart burn meds.)What a joke i started taking the pills and they did nothing.I was a Heavy smoker and ate fast food everyday. But i quit smoking and stopped eating fast food.It took a Life style change but now i feel great.Good luck and Bless you all.

  • Wow awesome vid. I'm sorry you were having so many PVCs though. yuck! I feel like crap after just throwing one or two; I can't imagine how uncomfortable you must have been. May i ask, how did you get this recorded, did you line up a really good stethoscope over your apical pulse? Are you in the medical field, because your heart sounds here are some of the best I've heard.

  • My question is how do you record this?

  • What did your Dr say about this?

  • If this is harmful has to do with underlying condition. I have a lot of PVC's for 30 years from I was 10. And I'm not dead yet. The docs have never picked up anything wrong with my heart. My heart just seems very sensitive to for example fatigue and sleep deprivation. When I'm calm and well rested I rarely have PVC's.

  • i just got dianosed with this and im so scared because they say i can have sudden death i dont know what to do or who to talk to ...

    Robert

  • Just listening to this makes me nervous!! Yeah I get these a lot too, I've gotten about 50 or so today. I thought that was bad but I hear some people get thousands of them a day. I've also been going through a horrible bout of anxiety for the last few months, which has added to them IMMENSELY.

  • by the way, I know it's common for anxiety sufferers to get these and think it's a sign of danger, and even though I constantly read that they're benign and harmless I'm still right there thinking that this means I'm about to die. I'm really not doing too good right now and am quite desperate for help. Going to anxiety forums and reading that they arent dangerous only does so much to help calm my fears.

  • i've had these since 1997, i have found that drinking plenty of water has been helpful. Used to scare the hell out of me but i'm preety sure the danger isn't as great as it seems. They suck. But it could be worse i guess. peace

  • Don't you hate that? I get them and just had one a few minutes ago. Scary stuff even if it is benign.

  • Sounds like PAC to me. PACs sound like an extra beat too soon whereas PVCs usually sound like a pause then a hard beat.

  • For all the studies in the world - I've been studied by Japanese researchers as well as U.S. Navy researchers for PSVT, RVOT and PVC's. Pretty much what I've come to understand is that the DPT shots given around the world cause genetic changes in the heart muscle and this is the cause of this mostly benign condition. There is really no fix yet. My doctor now tells me to learn to live with the feeling of it and exercise to keep my 55 year old body going strong. It seems to work.

  • i get the same exact thing....sometimes for days on and off. drives me nuts.

  • ive been diagnosed with pvc aswell and they told me it shouldnt be a problem but ive still been gettin them ive been diagnosed with it back in june 09 through a stress test. im just worried cause i have asthma as well and having both in contrast is not a good thing

  • It could be a problem if one makes the other worse, but otherwise you should be okay. Keep checking in with your doctor and don't hesitate to go to the E.R. if a problem develops.

  • thanks

  • I have PVC and asthma too. You'll be fine :) But if you feel anything is wrong, depending on how bad, call your doctor or go to the ER. So many people have PVC, I was told that is is very common.

  • Sounds terrible. Thats enough to give me hypochondria.

  • I get this exactly the same, is it harmful.

  • Yes, they can be harmful if they deteriorate to a cardiac dysrhythmia called ventricular tachy cardia.

  • Wow, those are amazing! I love the sound of the PVCs.

  • Great sounds tdrn; I counted 80 bpm with the skips and 88 bpm without the skips. What did it feel like in your chest? Did you feel the skips? WONDERFUL file.

  • OH YES!!!! I definitely felt the skips. The initial sign that a skip was about to occur, was a heavy feeling in my chest (a sort of warning, if you will), followed by a very intense fluttering sensation in my chest with a feeling of severe lightheadedness with shortness of breath. These would occur as the skip was happening. And when they would occur real close together, all of those symptoms were 3 times as intense. A very strange (and sometimes frightening) sensation indeed. My best vid.

  • @tdrn00 yes, it a very pumpy type of skippy fluttery feeling. Really uncomfortable. I get them too. Doc said they were benign and wouldn't give me any meds. Mine mostly happen in cold weather, or sittin/laying down too long

  • Thanks for sharing...

  • hey.. please tell me how u recorded this

each time i goto the Dr.s the fucking PVC's stop

i want to catch it .. mine feels the exact same as this

  • I made a "stethmic" from a small lapel microphone from Radio Shack and the chestpiece from a cheap stethoscope from Wal-Mart. I connected the chest piece & microphone together with a piece of latex tubing purchased from Lowe's. I already had it hooked up when the PVC's began so it was only a matter of turning on the webcam and capturing the PVC's as they were occurring. Timing is everything.

  • thx for the quick reply..

    what a smart idea!

    thanks

timing is everything is an understatement.. :P

i have a resting heart rate of 45.. i run and workout everyday .. pissed about this happening

  • Glad to have been able to help.

  • wow, they're very obvious PVC's, thanks for sharing!
