my brother was in the would trade center on September 11 2001 and did not make it out with his life and his body was never recovered and the last thing i said was f**k you. When that story came on i held my sister close and said it will be OK he will make it and i never herd from him and my sister who was 5 at the time tried to kill her self to be with him. But thank god she didn't and now she has given that up and goes to his grave every day to be with him and i have to pick her up thank god!

@seriesdetv Just be the best American you can be that is all we ask my family has fought in the civil war the first great war then in WW11 Korea I fought in Vietnam and my son was one of the first marines in to Iraq all of us say the same thing we all would die today for our country's freedom or to give anther country a chance feel what freedom is truly like. we fight for and die for all freedoms not like the liberal of today.
Will it ever end, Vietnam was bad, but what lessons were learned, so many of us have to live with the memories we can never forget, and WE are the lucky ones, what a world:(

Just before midnight tonight. 6 years ago. An EFP IED hit us while going to our sector for patrol. I cheated death and walked away from this with out a scratch. Everyone else was not so lucky. 1 KIA, 6 WIA. I would give anything to trade spots where i was sitting with anyone of them. My dad and brother both died in the same week in 2009 serving with the british army in Afghanistan, I miss them both :( My dream is to fight for my country and mother! Im failing everything at school and I try so hard for my mother, I told her what my dream is but she wont allow me to join the british army and fight because she says she is scared of loosing me aswell! im an belgian soldier and i just came back from kandahar (afghanistan) but here in belgium the army isnt rlly loved (don't know why) and no1 ever writes things like this for us, but even though it wasn't writen for me or my comrads, i'd like to think it is, in some way all soldiers are 1, we all have nightmares of our comrads at their last moments/ our first kill, second, thirt,.../ we all hear the screams and see the bodies when we stop to think about it/...

There was a section of the Vietnam traveling wall that I had to go and stand by in uniform. While I was standing there, a older gentlemen came up to me and shook my hand. He pulled me in close, and asked me if I could do him a great favor. I responded with, yes sir. He handed me a thing of flowers and pointed to a piece of the wall and asked if I could put them by his friends name. I walked to the wall, laided the flowers down. Went back, and he said thank you. Just before midnight tonight. 6 years ago. An EFP IED hit us while going to our sector for patrol. I cheated death and walked away from this with out a scratch. Everyone else was not so lucky. 1 KIA, 6 WIA. I would give anything to trade spots where i was sitting with anyone of them. im an belgian soldier and i just came back from kandahar (afghanistan) but here in belgium the army isnt rlly loved (don't know why) and no1 ever writes things like this for us, but even though it wasn't writen for me or my comrads, i'd like to think it is, in some way all soldiers are 1, we all have nightmares of our comrads at their last moments/ our first kill, second, thirt,.../ we all hear the screams and see the bodies when we stop to think about it/...

He pulled me in close, and asked me if I could do him a great favor. I responded with, yes sir. its real sad how now days people talk and joke about the past/present but if they were in the soldiers shoes they wouldnt be laughing

gender, ethnic background, nothing is significant when you realize that ANY U.S. soldier fights for your freedom,puts their life on the line for all fellow Americans, respect and honor them, pray for their soul, as they are us. God bless all of the soldiers that keep me free!

I will always remember you my best friend and brother Arick. You gave all for the freedom of our country and for that you will always have my utmost respect but I miss you brother. Not a day goes by that you are not in my memories. The laughs and good times we shared. They will always remain. For a man never truly dies unless he is forgotten. Dear Mr. President, I hear you would like to freeze pay rates for soldiers starting this year. Would you also consider cutting your own pay to save more money for our country? Hell lets cut down all congressman's pay too. If the people who risk their lives don't get an increase in pay, why should we continue raising pay for those who take no risks and reap the benefits? REPOST if you support troops.The simple thought of this is heartbreaking and should not pass let alone ever been considered!
