  • My music professor has an album with Larry Mitchell and he's performed at our school multiple times. I stumbled upon this video by chance looking up Eddie Hazel videos and how no idea that Larry Mitchell played with him.

  • @mlhayes91 Thanks 4 noticing.... i never saw any other footage or heard other music by Larry Mitchell... would be cool to have him perform on school... you're so lucky!.... Peace

  • Don't worry Eddie Hazel is jamming with Jimi Hendrix in funk heaven

  • now that i'm finally watching this in the right context (understanding when

Eddie left us) this has become an ultimately important piece of video. bushtales is representing the funk in a big way as we have come to love and expect. larry mitchell is fricken awesome and he was showing some super humility and respect to the Maggot Overlord. thanks to all involved. throw up your funk sign and celebrate the best of the best.

  • yo thanks for postin this,i really enjoyed this big thanks.

  • I am sure Eddie is in Funk Heaven.

  • larry fuckin mithcell. yea

  • If this concert was in 1992 what month was this because Eddie died in December 23, 1992.

  • @PREZ150 From my understanding this is from January. He just so happened to be backstage and had a guitar.

  • VERY NICE of Larry Mitchell in the Zebra Coat to give up his amp connection to Eddie because Eddie's amp was not working right.

You can see Larry plug his cable into Eddie's guitar at 4:30.

That is being an open hearted musician....

  • What's wrong with Eddie here? He isnt flowing. He seems stiff or in pain or something? He seems fragile. :-(

  • @SarahRachel59

Yes he died from internal bleeding and liver failiure that year. He drank himself to death and had a terrible heroin addiction. Its bittersweet because he started doing that stuff when he went on tour with Funkadelic, and maybe if he hadn't more people would know about him. but then again he might not have so its a toss up.

  • @SarahRachel59 He was sick on the inside. But his magic fingers was not.

  • ummm that fag with the WHITE guitar who practiced a lot needs to step off and let the man EDDIE PLAY

  • probably one of his last public appearances and the dude in the blue isn't him, he is wearing the cap and pony tail

  • "put your finger there....and here"

    that's what she said

  • Eddie was very ill during this performance and passed away that year in 1992...

  • RAW!

  • RED HOT Mama is great.. Larry Mitchell is fabulous and Eddie Hazel has to have been the best guitarist ever>>>before he was even born!!!!!!MAX RESPECT-Sweet Dreams (THIS IS AN OPINION)
