Those nerdy middle aged reporters are sporting long styled comb-overs, which they likely would have mocked just a few yrs earlier being it was associated with hippies/radicals. Even news reporters had those shaggy styles in the mid 70s b/c longer hair had finally become 'safe' to the mainstream audiences.. Ironically, Lou's got a shorter and more conservative cut than the most of the press.

Shame that by this time he had lost guitarists Steve Hunter & Dick Wagner who shine on the Rock'n Roll Animal & Lou Reed Live albums (recorded at the same gig, New York Academy Of Music, 1973).
