15-30: cows

30-45: stronghold first floor minotaurs

45-60: stronghold second floor zombies

60-75: stronghold third floor spiders

Most guides are pretty inaccurate. The fastest melee experience is armoured zombies. I would reccomend killing them from about 100+ cb. They can be 100k+/hr depending on combat stats, but will always be better than spiders. If you're not high enough for that I would advise bandits. Even lower than that and I would advise rock crabs. If you want to know how to use any of these methods there is a large number of concise guides all over youtube, just look them up. I'm maxed melee this way.

For Att and/or def use whip, for Str use a D Scimmy if training WITH a Zammy or Sara book, SS if you are with a Zammy or Sara Cape because it 2 handed.
