You guys might like Tim Hortons Coffee but you guys who like Tim hortons are pretty much drinking the equivalent to Folgers its CRAP Coffee but people drink it! If you are a true coffee consumer and you care about the quality of your coffee Starbucks has Tim Hortons beat without a competition I hate Tim Hortons and will never ever step foot in there store! Starbucks all the way!
I work at Starbucks and am currently working on finishing up my Coffee Passport! (we care about our coffee).
Starbucks coffee is horrible and over-roasted. If you think you care about the quality of your coffee you are horribly misguided. Not only does Starbucks coffee taste horrible and come at a horrible price, but it comes from coffee farms where schools close so that the children can work for several months a year.
@4favre Ha ha, wtf kind of loser comes on youtube to talk up the shitty starbucks he works at. I guess only a `true coffee consumer.` I hope some piece of shit yuppie flips out on you for not getting his syrup and sprinkles mixed perfectly, you are the biggest tool ever.
Anything I have ever ordered from Starbucks has been complete filth. Terrible stuff, they'd be out of business if it wasn't for trend-whores and phonies who think they look cool for ordering a $5 coffee.
I would choose the Timmies because of its availability. It is much easier to find a Tim Hortons than it is to find a Starbucks. Starbucks also lacks a drive-through. Convenience wins.
I didn't know the girl behind the counter was a machine
Starbucks is just bad coffee . When I get stuck in the USA on business I would rather have a dunkin doughnuts coffee if that state doesnt have a Timmies
HA the girl behind the counter pushes buttons. Therefore, the machine makes the coffee. The girl behind the counter opens a freeze-dried package of processed coffee.
To call Starbs bad coffee is ridiculous. May not be your flavour, but its actually real coffee. You wouldnt believe all the stuff that its Tim's
Interesting study, for sure, and I think that there's some definite consumer-image stuff working here, but I still find Timmi's has this weird chemical taste to it; I think it may be from the cup. Starbucks has darker roasts and it has a much deeper flavour. It could just be a preference for different roast grades/strengths of coffee... I used to think Starbucks tasted burnt, but now that I'm used to it I find Timmi's weak and chemical-tasting.
I work at a Tim Hortons and three years ago we remodeled the store it now has a classier look and our sells have gone up easily three fold so I do think the look of a store has a lot to do with with it's costumer base.
Organic is just a word that means Higher cost, as for Starbucks tasting better then Tim's I've tried it a few times as it was the only place i could find at that time, It's the only Coffee aside from the Old McDonalds stuff that i just couldn't drink! It was just to Bad! I hate wasting a cup o coffee too. Tim's is the Best of those two for me...
Actually organic means no chemicals, responsible farming, and discernibly better taste. However, organic is currently more expensive. If purity makes no difference to you then all you're left with is the high price. I see how this would affect your opinion.
Well actually even though i feel their prices are still unjustified Organic or Not the Coffee still Tastes Like Crap at Starbucks! I don't mind paying a little more for a coffee as long as it's Palatable, Some specialty Coffee shops charge more for their coffee too but it's aleast drinkable...But hey each to their own! Tim's is still Good Coffee and Reasonably Priced as far as Coffee Goes...
I don't drink coffee anymore (or eat chocolate) since I see caffeine as just another addictive drug, and I don't even consume decaffeinated as it still contains traces of it and it's a personal decision of mine to avoid it completely. Anyhow, I don't believe Starbucks serves organic coffee freshly made (never have during my coffee-drinking days) though I see they sell at least one type of it packaged. Perhaps your original comment was in reply to the previous user's (rasdh225)?
Sorry about that then, I don't drink near as much coffee as i used to but haven't been able to eliminate it from my routine yet, I can't get into the DeCaf stuff at all. Think I'll be a Coffee drinker for Life!!!
im lucky i guess for 1 dollar i get all day refills at the coffee shop next to where i work and they have organic coffee!!! now thats a real differance!!

Very true, but people really go to Timmies for the fact that you can get an extra large coffee and a doughnut for about 2 dollars.
Where as a Starbucks venti coffee, is about 5 dollars.

Starbucks believes that you should have the coffee how you want it, not how a machine chooses to make it.

Of course there's a difference.
A Tim Horton's coffee costs just under a twoonie.
A Starbucks coffee costs just under a full meal.
