yes! yes! YES! i am so gonna try this~ thanks for recommending!!
i admit that i missed half of my life for not being able to play the previous FF (not to mention i HAD the cds but my cousin scratched them resulting to the said outcome T^T), but i think i'm gonna do my best with this one! the whole kingdom concept really got me interested~
@tomoyo14 Right on! I wish you luck and adaptation, it is a fun game and revolves around the battles / shopping / more battles, but also is heavy on the plot (storyline). The bar in chapter 2 give propositions, and a fur shop becomes available for chapter 3 if you go around poaching monsters with a certain ability, and that's about all I will say.
I hope you enjoy it and let me know how your doing in the game from time to time if you want, like if you game overed during a certain battle, etc.
Hmm, my suggestion for the PSP version is to look over the tutorial. Lot's of new players to this game seem to have a hard time, and yet almost none of them even bother to skim through the tutorial mode in the main menu. It's actually a great resource for learning the game to get by on. Random battles are important, you can level up (not so important), and gain JP (job points) for abilities for each unit, JP is important and skills can get you through this game. Proper equipment is also a must.
YOU READ MY MIND! I love turn based fighting games like this! I plan on sooner or later doing the GBA version of Final Fantasy Tactics. I've got one of the best teams on there on my real GBA, so yea.
Thanks for the recommendation, Mr. Mind Reader. :D
I didn't like the game at first when I bought it but I revisited it after 4 years when I had nothing to play and ended up loving it. The atmosphere, music and the presentation were fantastic and of course I consider it to be the best SRPG ever
Those are classes aren't displayed at all. I bet the creators wanted to keep the music shorter, and/or keep some classes / monsters secret to find out about later in the game itself. That's my best guess since many gamers tend to be somewhat casual and not explore so much of the game, like only playing through just once.
Well, they are in the game, but not displayed in the opening cinematic sequences.
So many memories.

Trust me, check out the tutorial option at the title screen menu and learn about Zodiac compatibility and other important things.
