I recently bought one of these and I absolutely love it, I was receiving a really bad connection in my upstairs bedroom, but now its like the router would actually be in my bedroom thanks to this thing. I definitely recommend anyone suffering from wireless network range problems to get one.

I was so sad and depressed I wanted to return it but it worked fine now I'm so happy ,my mistake was putting the Extender in the new range not the main range and I fixed it now ,it's an important info they should mentioned it ..

lets say you have four rooms n1 n2 n3 n4 , your router is in room n1 ,when you are in room n2 and room n3 you don't have problems with the net cause the router cover this two rooms but when you go to room n4 you lose the signal why?? because the range of the router ended, this range I called it the main range which is covers only room n1 n2 and n3 , Now you bought the extender to solve the problem you have in room n4 ,how it works ?

how it works ? To extend the main range and create a new range(which is the same main range but bigger) that covers also roomn4, you should put the extender in any place in the main range lets say in roomn3,the main range will be extended and becoming bigger forming the new range that covers roomn4 problem solved, Remeber don't put the extender in roomn4 ,it's better to put it in the farthest spot before the main range ended in our example we put it in roomn3.hope that helped :)

I have had three crappy Belkin wireless G routers. I only got 54 Mbps and max 100 feet ( 100ft was one bar). I was always getting shit connections when gaming online and my NAT was always strict. I finally went and got a NetGear N600 wireless dualband router, needless to say problem solved.

No because basically both the router and the extender work as one device. As a normal user you won't be able to see if you are running on the extender or on your wireless router. It uses the settings from your router so it will also use the same frequencies.

Just get a netgear wndr3700 n600 wireless router. problem solved.I've used that exact router in 5 different homes and apartments ranging from 900 sq ft to 1600 sq ft. I PURPOSELY put the router on the OPPOSITE end of the home or apt and the wirelessly receiving computer and smartphone devices on the other far end. NO drop in signal and always 70% or more signal.

I have a D-link DGL-4500 and that router allowed my friend who was 5 doors down, to play on xbox live. the walls for the dorms were 6 inches thick of solid concrete (military dorms). don't buy this, just a really kick-ass router
