Hello Nick, thanks for the tutorial! I have managed to root my phone and change my phone to a orange version. Have done the test on the adb and it is successful. However, i'm stuck at the recovery.img section because it gives me the error msg "error opening /sdcard/recovery.img: no such file or directory". I saw the FAQ and i unmouted my SD card, file is in my SD root directory as recovery.img. It still doesn't work and gives me the same error message. Please advice.

@robertmendozanasty ive had it since july i think with the leaked 2.1. Then a week ago Motorola did a soak test for 2.1 which I was a part of. Google it, I'm sure youll be able to find out how to get it. You had to manually put the file on your sd card to get the update, it wasnt an OTA update.

so i got up to the part where i need to copy the recovery.img and my ROM to my sd card which i did, but then when i did the cmd all went well till i put in your command adb shell flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img. it came up with directory couldn't be found. i made sure it was spelled correctly and put in the sd folder, not in any folders on the sd card. as for unmounting, i wasn't sure how to do that. i tried from my sd setting, no good. pulling it out, also no good.
