  • Ok THe kid carried the flag, big deal the youngest CW Casulity was 13 yrs of age. Blk was state militia. Many times the reg army and militia fought side by side.

Anyway it is a great week end I was there and participated.

  • The kid's voices on the train are excusable: the child Confederate standard bearer is NOT. That was a position of honor, reserved for battle veterans, not kids. A kid that age MIGHT have been a musician, or a stretcher bearer in battle. And I doubt if mid or late war (the black chevrons on the one Confed noncom indicate Army of Tenn., late war), he'd have worn a kepi. He should be wearing a slouch hat.

  • I come hear for labor day weekend. I should come to the civil war days. when is it

  • My unit is one of the main contributers to this event. I'm going out to it next weekend.

  • This is such a cool place.

  • Hi, My 2 sons and I were right in front of the camera in the opening seconds. We are volunteers at Hesston. My sons are interested in coming to your next reenactment. What's your web site? Are reenactments listed there?

    Jim.

  • I didn't mind the kids voices at all. Made for some realism on the train. I've went ahead and posted the video. I got a kick out of the fact that they were worried about Rich when he went down.

  • Great video B! I'm so glad that you had a video camera on board the train! I'd love to put this video on the 26th website.

  • Go for it! I'm just sad that my kids were so loud and all over the place. It would have been much better without them :) Hehehe
