He doesn't suck, he's barely 5 seconds off the Stig's pace, he uses up the width of the track and cuts the apexes. A job well done

BTW James May was 30 seconds slower than 70 year old Ex-F1 Champion Jackie Stewart. With a whole day of practice and coaching from Sir Jackie he managed to close the gap to a little over 10 seconds.

And I'm sure the Stig could kick Jackie Stewart's wrinkled old ass on the track.

All in all, 5 seconds isn't a lot.
