Sweet sounding, lyric sopranos SHOULD NOT EVEN TRY TO SING LADY MACBETH. Whatta waste of stage and everything else. This aria is supposed to be sung con forza and the sopranos who don't have it naturally, will either sound stupid like this one here (sweet and kind instead of evil and energetic) or they will try to outsing themselves and ruin their voices.

Back to her burning Lady Macbeth, I will ratify what I said in my last comment. Though weird her technique may sound, she gave me the most "adrenalined" and memorable opera nights of these past 30 years and I'll be eternally grateful to her for that.
