anyone that speaks or acts out against our oppressive, out of control government, will be labelled a terrorist...and the majority of americans will bite it, hook, line, and sinker...as soon as the government feels comfortable with the brainwashed state of the people, they will start labelling us all terrorists...just like the union demonizing the south, when they tried to leave the union...the union wanted to enslave the south, and they did so by convincing us they were liberating black slaves
Shame that this man was kept out of the debates. Probably cos he doesn't play the game. Back in 1971 he got the leaked Pentagon Papers from Ellsberg and put them on Congressional record. That was an act of a patriot who serves the people, not corporate interests, which is why the same interests want him out of the spotlight.
I am a libertarian. I believe we should be able to sell ourselves into slavery. After all, the path to economic freedom is to sell yourself to the capitalist. I mean, its my body and its my right--the government should never get involved.
I also want to sell my black foster child into slavery--he has no soul. It doesn't matter.
This is the kind of dialogue that cuts through political semantics. The irreducible bases of cause and effect. This is politics people- social psychology, not fkn physics.
Looks like the smartest thing the Democrats did during 911 is to play dumb.... just like Georgie Bush.... contageous isnt it? And just like the terrorists who crashed the planes in WTC .... Bush Jr. crashed his presidency to control Iraq's OIL ..."well where already in... might as well get pumping and assraped them . This whole democratic charade of having two parties is getting too obvious. Check and balance my ass
We have a real division of principles that loom over us in Congress and the White House. Half are near psychopathic and are only in politics for the glamor and personal glory and will sell out humans in a second. Sounds like a great job for a psychopath. Getting into politics so they feel they can get away with anything. Rahm Emanuel needs to be watched VERY closely.
Then you have the real men. The few human beings that do not have corporations controlling them.
he can be good adviser and i respect him, but as a leader i think Ron Paul have the personality to lead a nation and tell you the truth that i am not in America and i am not an American i m from Malaysia
sorry i dont want to be rude but he said "obfuscation" i think to obfuscate means to play with positions, like hiding and lying...lol but i still think that gravel is a maniac.... too angry....
that's why our country is in danger..because people like u call an honest, straight forward man, a maniac...wake the fuck up..this is the same man that released the pentagon papers into public records..those papers revealed that we went into Vietnam under false pretenses, thus ending the draft. this guy is a hero, and probly saved thousands more lives.
WW2 is always a difficult scenario to consider from an isolationist foreign policy perspective. However, consider that Winston Churchill himself considered America's intervention in World War I as the cause of WW2. I'll post his quote to the New York Enquirer in 1936.
"America should have minded her own business and stayed out of the World War. If you hadn't entered the war the Allies would have made peace with Germany in the Spring of 1917. Had we made peace then there would have been no collapse in Russia followed by Communism, no breakdown in Italy followed by Fascism, and Germany would not have signed the Versailles Treaty, which has enthroned Nazism in Germany.
If America had stayed out of the war, all these 'isms' wouldn't to-day be sweeping the continent of Europe and breaking down parliamentary government, and if England had made peace early in 1917, it would have saved over one million British, French, American, and other lives." -- Winston Churchill, statement to William Griffen, editor of the New York Enquirer, August 1936.
Iran allows weapons inspectors, Israel doesn't. Iran condemned 9/11, Israel said it was "very good" (ex PM Netanyahu). Iran buys US weapons from China, Israel sells US weapons TO China. When was last time Iran annexed land, and when was the last time Israel annexed land? When was the last Iranian spy arrested in the US, and when was the last Israeli spy arrested in the US? Does 2+2=5? Think, people, think.
I disagree with the comment on the bomb. Iran shouldn't have it. It's for a different reason than why others shouldn't have it. In most cases they don't want so and so to have the bomb because with it they can protect themselves against outside influence. In some cases, like France, it's not a big deal. In others, like North Korea, it's a very big deal. All hope for freedom and democracy there would take a serious blow. Democracy and freedom in the surrounding areas would be threatened.
The case for Iran is quite different. They called for the extermination of Israel, which is a very serious threat. Hitler called for the extermination of the Jews, no one tried to stop him until it was to late. A nuclear weapon can exterminate a lot of land and a lot of Jews.
There is a huge difference between the intention to exterminate a race (what Hitler intended to do) and putting an end to an illegal occupation (Israel). The Israelis have always been doing ethnic cleansing to the Palestenians. Poeple who oppose Israel do not hate the jews as an ethnicity since there are many Jews who did research and are opposing the state of Israel. It is not hatred for the jewish poeple, it is a political attitude calling for fairness and giving the Palestenians their land.
Is the American occupation of America illegal? The president of Iran called both Israel and America illegitimate states. Should the natives have all their land back and all the Americans go back to England and France? The jews conquered Israel just like the English and French conquered America. Israel is theirs now. The middle east fought to take it back and they lost to superior military force. 60 years later Iran calls for the extermination of Israel and is persueing nuclear power.
To me that equates to nuclear extermination. If Palestein can't have Israel territory back, then no one can have it. Israel has a jewish identity, so calling for the extermination of Israel really is calling for the extermination of the jews, because Israel is the only home they have.
To get back on topic. Iran calling for the extermination of Israel, even if it means putting an end to "illegal occupation", is reason enough for them not to have nukes. They can end Illegal occupation with nukes since no one will be able to interfere with their affaris. The only response for Israel is nukes of there own and it would start a cold war in the middle east. The middle east isn't good at keeping it's cool so it could quickly turn into a hot war.
Well this has to do with personal values and ideas. If you apporve of the ways the native Americans were exterminated (the justification: pagan, not fully human etc...) If you apporve of Palestenians meeting the fate of Native Americans (ethnically exterminated) again that is your personal opinion. If you see it as a fair world where the powerful conquers and take other poeple's lands and make it theirs, it is not my job to change your values.
There is absolutly no question the Palestenians got screwed. Whether or not I approve of it won't change history. It happened in a peroid when the powers that policed the world (England, France) were handing off their badges to the new powers (America, USSR). During that time when Europe was rebuilding and the UN was being put together their wasn't really a major force policing the world. The jews took advantage and the Palestenians got screwed.
Is it Iran calling for the extermination of the Jews, or just their President? I've heard Ahmadinejad is pretty much the only one in the country trying to piss the U.S. off. I realize he has power, but he doesn't have as much power as people think.
The CFR gave us 3 shitty choices Obama, Hillary, and McCain. It would have been better to have Gravel, Kucinich, Or Paul. I am still going to support Ron Paul till the end even though the Diebold machines are rigged. Ron Paul actually has more support of the people than McCain, but the polls will never show that. Democracy really is an illusion.
Why do Ron Paul supporters have such conspiracy theorist tendencies? You people can't stand that America rejects him, so you make up nonsense about rigged polls and rigged voting machines. Dennis Kucinich got a recount in NH when Ron Paul supporters thought Paul won and it revealed absolutely nothing.
John McCain was almost out of campaign money and was almost dead last in the polls even behind Paul, and now he is supposed to be the frontrunner? The NV delegate voting showed a large majority voted for Paul and the McCains supporters walked out so now those delegates won't be counted nationally. Its a scam. The elitists put people in office. Wake up.
John McCain was always ahead in New Hampshire. Did you not see the media coverage after that win? He got tons of coverage. Media coverage usually converts to votes.
The media is owned. What the media shows you is what they want you to believe. What makes a difference in elections? Skull and Bones, Council on Foreign Relations, Bilderburg, Trilateral Commission, and Aipac Lobbyists. As I said before, democracy is an illusion. The elitests want you to think you have a say in what happens in our government. You don't unless you are rich and powerful.
The corporate world loves Ronny. He's there capitalist money-man. So if Ron Paul actually had any real momentum besides on youtube, I think the media would be all over that. The corporations would love to remove the fed and enslave the working class.
Ron Paul does have a lot of momentum with many voters, its just the Republican party who isn't supporting him. They want the Iraq war to continue and it will. If Ron was elected he would destroy all their plans and they won't allow that. Educate yourself people, study Bilderburg, CFR, and AIPAC. Democracy is an illusion.
I can't see why they are not supporting him. He definitely has the southern racist homophobic credentials. He supports Jim Crow type laws with gay marriage/adoptions and abortion. He's gotten more media coverage than all the other low polling candidates, so he doesn't really have an excuse. He was allowed into all the debates. Oh yeah. It's all rigged. That's why they chose McCain and Barack of all people. Why not Hillary and Romney? They would much better suite the corporate needs.
Hillary will just nuke Iran, no need to worry about having to fight over there! OMG, people, vote for Gravel, a true peace candidate. Foreign policy in this country is made by the insane.
Politics is like a game of chess. The President has limited mobility and is to be protected (ie not a major player in the power game). All the candidates running except Mr. Gravel want to keep the game the way it's been played and just change the President. Mr. Gravel is trying to make us, THE PAWNS, have equal power with the bishops, knights and rooks. That's the National Initiative. We make and unmake rules (laws), too. Are you ready? ni4d us
What you don't understand is that OBAMA = MCCAIN = CLINTON - very little real difference. That's why you see these 3 candidates on mainstream media. If Obama were really different, you wouldn't see him either. Watch watch?v=lf6rJ4DAWN8
Gravel needs your help now. If he wins the Libertarian nomination, he will be on the ballot in all 50 states.
Mike Gravel is right on with a lot of things. I can't believe Hillary is already warmongering about Iran. Even after the intelligence counsel released their report stating that Iran abandoned pursuit of nuclear weapons in 2003, she continues to warmonger about them and claim that the US will "obliterate" them if they engage in any conflicts with Israel or any of their neighbors.
Those who understand what Mr. Gravel is talking about need to donate to his campaign and take his message/s (especially info on the National Initiative) to the streets (not just the internet via videos, etc) and inform the people.
yeah, i think he kinda knows he has no shot, but he realizes he CAN STILL make a difference, and he HAS i.e. he's that guy in the debates who says things that make people stop and say wow that makes sense, that others won't say because it'll damage their reputation
from listening to him it sounds like this is his life passion. i think he invested his life savings in it
Fuck you man, Gravel and Paul were the only candidates with the potential to change the elitist, corporate driven status quo in the United States of Advertising and you want to chastise for that. Are you that deluded by phony actors like that disengenuous cunt, Clinton.
You are like the thousandth person that simply says, "Mike Gravel shut up!". Is that all you got? Why should he shut up? Because maybe he's speaking truth and makes you feel like a douche for supporting hillary or whoever? Fuck you. Go ahead and speak your opinion but back it up with some proof and cogent explanations.
Douche bag. How dare you tell him that he's desperate and to clean his ass when your asshole is plugged up with too much bullshit!
You cannot tie the President's hands behind his back. Hillary voted to give the president the authority to use armed forces if necessary, IF NECESSARY you IGNORANT IDIOT!
You are the one who is ignorant, how dare you!!!!!!Don't you wish had been able to paticipate in any of the Presidential debates! My God, you were in France in the fifties? France does not deserve an irreverent moron such as yourself. America doesn't either!
i think it's a pretty good consensus that the only candidates with any actual intelligence and experience are the ones you listed: Ralph Nader, Ron Paul, Mike Gravel, and Dennis Kucinich.
i'm not kidding when i say we need to have a 2nd American Revolution to get one of them in office.
f*ck the media, f*ck the neocons, f*ck foreign intervention, f*ck the federal reserve, and f*ck people that vote on name recognition!!!
A revolution is not the answer. Violence begets Violence it the law of the universe and the past proves it. Those who promote a revolution do not have good intentions at heart. Historically a revolution has simply been the middle class manipulating and controlling the lower class (99% of the population-and where true power lies) into catapulting them into the heiarchy position, where they fuck them over just as before.
Peace is the answer and it will only be acheived through the promotion of englightenment and love for the human race. Mike Gravel is promoting that enlightenment and you can too, just not through a violent revolution.
i am not saying the revolution should be violent, it just has to be extreme in some way. how can we get people to realize that the media is full of crap if it isn't extreme? gradual realization for the next 100 years? by then our pocket change will be $20 bills (anything lower will have little value) and there will be a mandatory draft
Senator Mike Gravel talking about the Pentagon Papers in 1971: "The papers show that we have created in the last quarter century a new culture, a national security culture, protected from the influences of American life by the wall of secrecy which was created in the late 40's." I say PEOPLE, IT'S TIME WE TAKE THE WALL DOWN HERE! Do we want any more 9/11s to justify a reactionary anti-terrorist state? Is this how we want to live? Scared? or FREE?
Senator Gravel was referring to the USA in the sense of "we" in his quote. He was in Army Intelligence in the 50s in France. I am talking about being bound by fear, fear of terrorism, fear of government powers, fear of future versus feeling free, unafraid. We are letting other powerful people create our world. Their vision rules. Mike envisions National Initiative. You got anything better? Put it on the table. National Initiative has my support.
you should've watched it live with the rest of us. It was a truly Revolutionary act. Using modern technology to stay in the debates when they illegally censored him
It's bad enough that we've had a liar as a president for 8 years but at least we didn't know that before we elected him. We KNOW Hillary is a liar. Who could possibly vote for her knowing that??????
Thank God we still have politicians who are bold enough to stand up and tell the truth when they can see that a candidate like Hillary Clinton is out-and-out lying to us.
The Bushes and Clintons are filthy thieving parasites. McCain is a War mongering fascist. Obama is probably another CFR stooge, contrary to his "talk" Time will tell. Billary is a two faced, self serving, lying crook. The Banksters have us right where they want us again. Choose Fascism or socialism. Ron Paul was our last chance to save this republic. YouTube search: David Rockefeller Fears Ron Paul
You are so right. I'm scared that we no longer have choices. It almost feels as if THEY are choosing our candidates for us and it probably doesn't matter to them which one we choose.
The parties have always chosen the candidates and not the people. Once the party party leadership determines front runners, then you can vote on their choices. Neither of the mainstream political parties allows all their members to vote for nominee. The whole nominee process is an elaborate ritual to make people believe they have an influence by getting them to participate but they don't have influence on who the candidate will be...it's a ruse played by the powerful interests in this country
That's really sad but I'm sure you're right...It's so weird how candidates such as Ron Paul, who is actually concerned about our rights as citizens, are completely overlooked and not taken seriously at all...
I've never known of anyone less like a republican. Do your research, kid. This guy is probably the most liberal candidate in American history. Good try though.
Right now, i just have to give Mike Gravel his props. I sincerly regret his low level of activity in the democratic primaries (even though it is not his fault).
i kinda wish gravel had played the game just a LITTLE BIT in the BEGINNING. then he might have a shot. don't get me wrong, he is AWESOME, however, people won't take him seriously unless he sucks up a little bit, as unfortunate as that is. but i know it wouldn't be being himself to suck up...
If someone is murdering your children and telling you they're not doing that while they are doing it, are you going to suck up or yell at them to stop?
my emotions are telling me to yell at them to stop, but strategically it will pay off more in the long run to suck up a little in the beginning. dude, i'm totally with u, im sick of all this political suck-up bullshit, but if he had sucked up just a little bit, he'd have more of a chance of changing the things that he wants to change. its unfortunate that we have to resort to things like this these days, but the end can justify the means if its a guy like mike gravel.
Your children, like ours, will be dead then. I think we have to understand human reactions to things like this and stop blaming Gravel. For goodness sake, we should be going after the people Gravel is going after instead of going after him for being angry! We should be angry, too. See video "Coming out of the Shadows". Stop attacking the messenger!!!
I'm not attacking him, relax. i completely agree with you...mike gravel is the fucking man. if i blame anyone i blame the media and the people it brainwashes. all i was saying was he would've had more of a chance if he had played the game a little at least until he was well into the race. that isn't attacking him, really, cool out, im with you.
I'm cool. It's just that you are advocating that if Gravel had "behaved", the media might have given him more than 4 minutes of air time at each debate. Kucinich "behaved" and he was tossed. Clinton, Obama and Edwards (and the Democratic party) did want the competition from Gravel. It would not have mattered if Gravel had "behaved". What would have mattered is if we had given Mr. Gravel money money and support so media couldn't out him so easily. Please, all, send money now. He needs it.
do u think it'll make a difference at this point? he's not even on the ballot in most states...
the bottom line is he's not gonna win, it's just common sense.
However, just because he isn't going to win the ELECTION, doesn't mean he can't win back the country for us.
The good news is that whatever asshole ends up in the white house, if shit doesn't go well, which it probably wont, it can be potentially a tipping point where the Americans can actually be UNITED in the desire for a revolution.
Yes, it matters at this point. The National Initiative is what we need to make the changes that need to be made. It allows us to be lawmakers. We're at "the table" determining what's for dinner instead of not being able to swallow the scraps that are left over. Help support his efforts to publicize the National Initiative. That's really why he's running for President.
im 100% down with the national initiative, i want nothing more to empower the people. i firmly believe the people and the government should not be 2 separate entities. I'd send him money if I had any lol
i think the point is that the 1% of this country is in power and will remain in power until we spread out the wealth more properly.
we really need to look at how the rest of the western world handles all the problems that the US has.
Im sorry folks, But its called socialism. And if you blindly oppose socialism then may i tell you then you need to go read a book that wasn't written in the 1950s by a capitalist propagandist.
This says it all, Hillary isn't qualified to be president. She was First Lady, and a darn good one, bu that's it. Gravel is right, she lies to vet vote, she'll say anything to get votes, thats INSANE.
i'd pay money to see this man debate the big candidates 1 on 1 for a couple hours with equal time. Nader/Paul/Gravel, all statesman (an endangered species). I don't agree with them 100% but at least they actually care about the people they represent.
"Aggressive" diplomacy? That's like saying limited freedom. That's literally impossible. Aggressive- Too push people away. What she should have said is assertive, but I'm she doesn't know the difference.
You listen to the Hillary supporters touting their candidates performance...now...as Mike points out - she is a liar....its like when she talks about her "experience" - HEY MORONS - she doesn't have any - she's a carpetbagger from Arkansas...NY will elect ANY Democrat...check out her involvement in the CHP bill she claims credit for.....HER NAME ISN'T ANYWHERE ON THE DOCUMENT!!! I hope you start researching her positions...
What's happened to us that we don't think that the number one basic requirement of a Presidential candidate is that he or she tell us the truth? Is it the effect of TV's pretty lies? Are we so used to the lies?
I think at this rate since paul's gaining more of a chance compared to Gravel, People should understand this man, and if any of the runners are smart they should have this guy on the spot for vice pres at least, gift of a silver tongue, Gravel for vice pres would be a huge recovery from Chaney the DICK
Rule by the people. Good idea. But not to be realized until the people have the courage and the moral intelligence to listen to what people like Mike Gravel are saying. Too bad he can't (being all too human) reiterate his message with the robotic "cool" of Star Trek's Spock!
I like Mike's humanity. It's reassuring to know he has it. People, what has happened to us? Are we like those frogs who have gradually lost our own humanity? I'm afraid so. We need to come alive again. Seriously. Soon. Very soon.
Hell yes Ron Paul for President, but don't leave out Kucinich. Thier the only three who ran or are running who give a F#*K about us. I feel sorry for anyone who is naive enough to vote for Hillary. Or McCain. Or Obama for that matter.
Yes he is. But you know what? Go ahead, call him names, make fun of him, do whatever you want but the fact of the matter is that this Man speaks the TRUTH just like Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, & Ralph Nader. So if you want to Vote for someone that speaks the Truth then I'd suggest you Vote for Gravel, Paul, or Nader. But, if you want to put up with the same old LIES & B.S that you've put up with for these last 7 yrs. then Vote for someone else and chances are, you'll end up regretting it.
Awake from your slumber 4 Wise Men march with the people Washington DC Whistleblowers Honesty compassion intelligence guts Not carrots sticks coercive diplomacy Divided we fall Mike Gravel Dennis Kucinich Ron Paul Ralph Nader No bribery blackmail extortion
Exactly how do Clinton and Obama rule? Other than ruling over us with an iron fist which they inevitably will. Give one reason to support them over Gravel, one reason. Literally any half decent reason that cannot be argued by me and I'll give you my word that come November I will vote for which ever one of them has the nomination.
Ive watched all of his videos over and over. I read many of the comments. Why is it that the only dirt anyone can find on Gravel is that "He doesn't stand a chance" and "He's angry and arrogant"
What the hell? Is America really that easy to dupe?
This man has my vote. He is intelligent and honest, to say the least.
he is great, but he really doesnt have a chance to be chosen as the democratic candidate. even if he were to win every single primary, that doesn't mean anything. it's still up to the party to decide who they want to run and it will most be hillary. u have to understand these people are all part of secret societies that revolve around babylonian occult rituals that involve the goddess ishtar/innana. they want a woman to lead them into the new world order, and hillary has already been selected.
it's refreshing to see & hear that this man has the strength of character & courage to speak out against the crimes of our criminal government. hillary is complicite in crimes against humanity & the murder of over one million iraqi civilians for her iraq war vote. just a stupid & arrogant women , so it's no wonder that her poll numbers are going south really fast
Wow, I am a Ron Paul supporter, but have just discovered Mike Gravel and want to know more. So, far, I'm very impressed! We need more people like these Gravel and Paul. Thanks, Mike for pointing out the flaws of Billary.
Our Soldiers: missing limbs, vents breathing for them, malaria infections, burns from IEDs & land mines, many have lost their hearing. The addiction to pain medication & overdose is at an all time high.
So it is with conviction that I support this resolution: Hillary, you are not fit to be commander of anything!

I like Gravel on domestic/social issues. But one word to describe Gravel's foreign policy views: NAIVE.
He and his supporters need a strong dose of REALISM.
I wonder if he would have actually objected to the US entering the European theatre of WW2?
SelfImmolator 3 years ago
WW2 is always a difficult scenario to consider from an isolationist foreign policy perspective. However, consider that Winston Churchill himself considered America's intervention in World War I as the cause of WW2. I'll post his quote to the New York Enquirer in 1936.

Does 2+2=5? Think, people, think.
lomaxrobert 3 years ago
I disagree with the comment on the bomb. Iran shouldn't have it. It's for a different reason than why others shouldn't have it. In most cases they don't want so and so to have the bomb because with it they can protect themselves against outside influence. In some cases, like France, it's not a big deal. In others, like North Korea, it's a very big deal. All hope for freedom and democracy there would take a serious blow. Democracy and freedom in the surrounding areas would be threatened.
poopsmudge 3 years ago
The case for Iran is quite different. They called for the extermination of Israel, which is a very serious threat. Hitler called for the extermination of the Jews, no one tried to stop him until it was to late. A nuclear weapon can exterminate a lot of land and a lot of Jews.
poopsmudge 3 years ago
There is a huge difference between the intention to exterminate a race (what Hitler intended to do) and putting an end to an illegal occupation (Israel). The Israelis have always been doing ethnic cleansing to the Palestenians. Poeple who oppose Israel do not hate the jews as an ethnicity since there are many Jews who did research and are opposing the state of Israel. It is not hatred for the jewish poeple, it is a political attitude calling for fairness and giving the Palestenians their land.
livealife25 3 years ago 8
Is the American occupation of America illegal? The president of Iran called both Israel and America illegitimate states. Should the natives have all their land back and all the Americans go back to England and France? The jews conquered Israel just like the English and French conquered America. Israel is theirs now. The middle east fought to take it back and they lost to superior military force. 60 years later Iran calls for the extermination of Israel and is persueing nuclear power.
poopsmudge 3 years ago
To me that equates to nuclear extermination. If Palestein can't have Israel territory back, then no one can have it. Israel has a jewish identity, so calling for the extermination of Israel really is calling for the extermination of the jews, because Israel is the only home they have.
poopsmudge 3 years ago
To get back on topic. Iran calling for the extermination of Israel, even if it means putting an end to "illegal occupation", is reason enough for them not to have nukes. They can end Illegal occupation with nukes since no one will be able to interfere with their affaris. The only response for Israel is nukes of there own and it would start a cold war in the middle east. The middle east isn't good at keeping it's cool so it could quickly turn into a hot war.
poopsmudge 3 years ago
Well this has to do with personal values and ideas. If you apporve of the ways the native Americans were exterminated (the justification: pagan, not fully human etc...) If you apporve of Palestenians meeting the fate of Native Americans (ethnically exterminated) again that is your personal opinion. If you see it as a fair world where the powerful conquers and take other poeple's lands and make it theirs, it is not my job to change your values.
livealife25 3 years ago 6
There is absolutly no question the Palestenians got screwed. Whether or not I approve of it won't change history. It happened in a peroid when the powers that policed the world (England, France) were handing off their badges to the new powers (America, USSR). During that time when Europe was rebuilding and the UN was being put together their wasn't really a major force policing the world. The jews took advantage and the Palestenians got screwed.
poopsmudge 3 years ago
Is it Iran calling for the extermination of the Jews, or just their President? I've heard Ahmadinejad is pretty much the only one in the country trying to piss the U.S. off. I realize he has power, but he doesn't have as much power as people think.

The CFR gave us 3 shitty choices Obama, Hillary, and McCain. It would have been better to have Gravel, Kucinich, Or Paul. I am still going to support Ron Paul till the end even though the Diebold machines are rigged. Ron Paul actually has more support of the people than McCain, but the polls will never show that. Democracy really is an illusion.
buddyfreakinholly 3 years ago
Why do Ron Paul supporters have such conspiracy theorist tendencies? You people can't stand that America rejects him, so you make up nonsense about rigged polls and rigged voting machines. Dennis Kucinich got a recount in NH when Ron Paul supporters thought Paul won and it revealed absolutely nothing.
Vote3rdParty 3 years ago
John McCain was almost out of campaign money and was almost dead last in the polls even behind Paul, and now he is supposed to be the frontrunner? The NV delegate voting showed a large majority voted for Paul and the McCains supporters walked out so now those delegates won't be counted nationally. Its a scam. The elitists put people in office. Wake up.
buddyfreakinholly 3 years ago 2
John McCain was always ahead in New Hampshire. Did you not see the media coverage after that win? He got tons of coverage. Media coverage usually converts to votes.
Vote3rdParty 3 years ago
The media is owned. What the media shows you is what they want you to believe. What makes a difference in elections? Skull and Bones, Council on Foreign Relations, Bilderburg, Trilateral Commission, and Aipac Lobbyists. As I said before, democracy is an illusion. The elitests want you to think you have a say in what happens in our government. You don't unless you are rich and powerful.
buddyfreakinholly 3 years ago
The corporate world loves Ronny. He's there capitalist money-man. So if Ron Paul actually had any real momentum besides on youtube, I think the media would be all over that. The corporations would love to remove the fed and enslave the working class.
Vote3rdParty 3 years ago
Ron Paul does have a lot of momentum with many voters, its just the Republican party who isn't supporting him. They want the Iraq war to continue and it will. If Ron was elected he would destroy all their plans and they won't allow that. Educate yourself people, study Bilderburg, CFR, and AIPAC. Democracy is an illusion.
buddyfreakinholly 3 years ago
I can't see why they are not supporting him. He definitely has the southern racist homophobic credentials. He supports Jim Crow type laws with gay marriage/adoptions and abortion. He's gotten more media coverage than all the other low polling candidates, so he doesn't really have an excuse. He was allowed into all the debates. Oh yeah. It's all rigged. That's why they chose McCain and Barack of all people. Why not Hillary and Romney? They would much better suite the corporate needs.

Mike Gravel is right on with a lot of things. I can't believe Hillary is already warmongering about Iran. Even after the intelligence counsel released their report stating that Iran abandoned pursuit of nuclear weapons in 2003, she continues to warmonger about them and claim that the US will "obliterate" them if they engage in any conflicts with Israel or any of their neighbors.

pwnttothemax 3 years ago 3
A revolution is not the answer. Violence begets Violence it the law of the universe and the past proves it. Those who promote a revolution do not have good intentions at heart. Historically a revolution has simply been the middle class manipulating and controlling the lower class (99% of the population-and where true power lies) into catapulting them into the heiarchy position, where they fuck them over just as before.
asdff3w45 3 years ago
What makes you think revolution equals violence?
RaechelMW 3 years ago
Most revolutions have been extremley violent. Plus, he said a 2nd American Revolution implying it should be like the first, which was very violent.
asdff3w45 3 years ago
Peace is the answer and it will only be acheived through the promotion of englightenment and love for the human race. Mike Gravel is promoting that enlightenment and you can too, just not through a violent revolution.
asdff3w45 3 years ago 2
what can we do when our media has the reigns?
i am not saying the revolution should be violent, it just has to be extreme in some way. how can we get people to realize that the media is full of crap if it isn't extreme? gradual realization for the next 100 years? by then our pocket change will be $20 bills (anything lower will have little value) and there will be a mandatory draft

Scared? or FREE?

um we still are going to be wage slaves so it's techniclly not free. and it's they not we you weren't there.

SherryAnn68 3 years ago
The parties have always chosen the candidates and not the people. Once the party party leadership determines front runners, then you can vote on their choices. Neither of the mainstream political parties allows all their members to vote for nominee. The whole nominee process is an elaborate ritual to make people believe they have an influence by getting them to participate but they don't have influence on who the candidate will be...it's a ruse played by the powerful interests in this country

strumr91 3 years ago
If someone is murdering your children and telling you they're not doing that while they are doing it, are you going to suck up or yell at them to stop?
gravelin08 3 years ago 2
my emotions are telling me to yell at them to stop, but strategically it will pay off more in the long run to suck up a little in the beginning. dude, i'm totally with u, im sick of all this political suck-up bullshit, but if he had sucked up just a little bit, he'd have more of a chance of changing the things that he wants to change. its unfortunate that we have to resort to things like this these days, but the end can justify the means if its a guy like mike gravel.
strumr91 3 years ago
Your children, like ours, will be dead then. I think we have to understand human reactions to things like this and stop blaming Gravel. For goodness sake, we should be going after the people Gravel is going after instead of going after him for being angry! We should be angry, too. See video "Coming out of the Shadows". Stop attacking the messenger!!!
gravelin08 3 years ago
I'm not attacking him, relax. i completely agree with you...mike gravel is the fucking man. if i blame anyone i blame the media and the people it brainwashes. all i was saying was he would've had more of a chance if he had played the game a little at least until he was well into the race. that isn't attacking him, really, cool out, im with you.
strumr91 3 years ago
He needs it.
gravelin08 3 years ago
do u think it'll make a difference at this point? he's not even on the ballot in most states...
the bottom line is he's not gonna win, it's just common sense.

I still wish that he and Ron Paul could work together somehow. Those two in the whitehouse would make this country strong again.

U.S. MILITARY DEATHS (IRAQ): 3952
U.S. MILITARY WOUNDED (IRAQ): 28711
IRAQI CIVILIAN DEATHS (MIN): 71259
'EXCESS' IRAQI DEATHS: 655000
Our Soldiers: missing limbs, vents breathing for them, malaria infections, burns from IEDs & land mines, many have lost their hearing. The addiction to pain medication & overdose is at an all time high.
So it is with conviction that I support this resolution: Hillary, you are not fit to be commander of anything!
