@my86gt (my comment extended) solid axles affect everything across the front end. if one end goes up the other goes down. in other words it puts too much strain on everything. ifs on the other hand absorbs the landing independently hence the name. solids produce too much weight on the front. they also create odd shock angles which is why the shock or the shock mount broke. solids are only good for mud and crawling. if jumping, solids need to land as flat as possible or else this happens.

@aopmonster I never said the axle broke. If you can read, read what I said before. Solids affect everything across the front end. If it lands hard on one side the other is shot down causing strain on anything connected to it. This happens a lot to monster trucks. Watch monster jam and you'll see this problem every show and this happens because 99% of the time a shock or the shock mount gives out. A broken sway bar wouldn't cause the shock not to recoil the truck back upright. A broke shock would

@markssite What I'm sayin is there is no independent suspended steering axle out there that will handle the abuse of a monstertruck with 66" tires. And as per the shock,If you look closely those are nitrogen charged shocks not coilovers. They will not upright the corner by themselves without a sway bar. If the sway bar breaks or twists it will stay leaned to that side.

This is a completley different setup than a monster jam truck.. Take a look at it. I have spoken to the owner (Frank Schettini) of this truck on many occasions. I know the deal.. he has built the truck himself.

Nothing was broken.. just worn out parts.

The truck didnt break.. the anti-sway bars were worn out. So when a hard landing is made it tends to stick to whatever side took the brunt of the landing. New sway bars would fix this problem.
