Every asian player in the arcade I go to do this against every scrub Chun-Li, Shoto, or whoever that launches a random super when they are trolololing.

I'm not saying that it isn't impressive, but it wasn't as exciting for me to see Daigo do this as the average person would've. D:

@NinjaBen00 Parry is basically like blocking, but you don't take any damage at all (blocking still takes chipping damage). You parry by tapping Forward when you're about to take a hit. Its very risky, if you miss the timing, youll get hit instead.

@Ikuorai it's not a block, he had to "take the hit" exactly at the right time for each of those hits. in other words "parry" each hit, and then time the super as he landed. on raw adrenaline on a tournament match, it is very difficult to maintain composure when you have no energy left in your bar

watch the full match and look at how many fireballs daigo does, then watch the final round and watch him feed the shit out of justin with fireballs till he had a full super bar and then just chills waiting for him to do the super, daigo set justin up to look like the tramp he is.

The weirdest thing is that the guy you're replying to who called you stupid is basically agreeing that Daigo is very skilled and has tremendous game sense. Enough to dictate the flow of the match and lead his opponent to throw out the move that allowed Daigo to perfectly execute the complete parry (which takes skill no matter what anyone says) and take the round.

I do not see where BHMatrix's animosity is coming from, you both basically agree.

If Wong throws a normal out he can buffer the super QCF QCF motion during the normal. Otherwise, the QCF QCF motion shows up as chun ducking twice in quick succession. Either way there's a sign its coming. Now watch Daigo in the moment before the super. He's watching jWong's character and every poke that wong throws out he presses forward to parry the forthcoming super, because he knows about that trick to buffer the super. He also knows he needs to parry before the superflash. Watch the walk.

Daigo made a comment about this moment in GameInformer #198, Oct 09: I can pull that off at the right time on a regular basis, but the particular circumstance with large crowd cheering and rooting for Justin made it difficult for me to make it happen. The move itself is not hard at all under normal circumstances, but the noise, the fact that I was at the end of the line, and all that set the psychological bar higher than normal. It was the indication that I was able to perfectly focus on myself.
