  • as salaam alaikum warahmatullahi with the greatest care and concern subhanaAllah when good happens it comes from Allah swt and when bad happens it comes from shaitan. May Allah swt make it easy for all He has guided to Islam,

  • alhamdulillah , I was born Muslim , it reminds me to be a good muslim.

  • started reading the koran and am sickened by the absolute Jew-hatred and incitement to violence against Jews and everyone who is not muslim. I can only assume everyone who is muslim or converts to islam is a Jew-hater unless they publicly repudiate it. Please don't call your sick, violent, totalitarian, collectivist, misogynistic, expansionist ideology a religion. You desecrate the name of G-d.

  • At University I regularly meet converts to Islaam. They are intelligent and brave and I love you and some of us try our best but all humans have their personal problems but we will try harder Insh'Allah.

  • When is the next "Conver(t)sation" ?

  • This video inspired me to start wearing the hijab right away. Alhamdulillah :) One of the sisters saying about how born muslims shld be thankful that they have families who want them to be closer to Allah, which contrasts their experience of family who werent encouraging them wearing the hijab. The sister's struggle put me to tears and it was a wake-up call for me.

  • @wanderlust222 Masha'ALLAH! That makes me feel so happy...

  • I was born in a Muslim household that was not practicing and full of discord and confusion. I bean to seek Allah for myself and found that I wasn't good enough to be a part of the community because even in Islam there is racism and isolation. It has made me question more then ever and makes me angry and confused. Not good enough to marry, not Somali, Arab, Pakistani, Indian, Jordanian and so on enough. Eid was lonely and hard.

  • As-Salaam-Alaikum My brothers n Sisters In Islam! First of all, Congratulations to all of the new reverts and sharing their heartfelt experiences, during n after the huge transition and how we "Born Muslims" are so ignorant and indifferent to these new babies / First day of a Teenage life as quoted by Will. I'm very much moved by hearing this and now today being Eid-Ul-Fitr, 2011, I hope today all of you are invited to multiple homes and fight out your loneliness. I'm from canada and let me know

  • why do they always run out of time on these things :(

  • jazakumallahkhire for the marriage topic its soooo real !!!!!!

  • lol this is a fitrah trap watch out yo!

  • i just read d comment posted but my tears is starting dropping down coz im thankful dat im in d ryth religion but stil im afraid coz being a muslim is hard most specially wen u tink bout death, punishment, and more hopefully allah swt wil guide me into his heaven..

  • Thank you for a great video

  • All muslims need to be united and help eachother through tough times... Born muslims must play a large part in helping us new muslims get through the transition... It provides good deeds. JAK

  • ASA. This video is really helpful to new converts. I wish that more of these types of videos would be posted, as it makes people feel part of something...JAK

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS!! it's such an enlightening video and i'm so glad i watched this.

  • MashaAllah, I'm a revert muslimah myself and this was really nice to see. May Allah bless all these revert Muslims and the many more that we haven't meet, Ameen

  • @muslimahaishat ameen

  • @1:33:10 INSHAALLAH now i will always pray for all converts.

keep in mind that wht ever people say or do 2 u, all converts r an inspiration 2 me & u'll always be.

look leaving something or starting something has nothing 2 do whether u r a convert or a muslim by birth, 2 me its equally difficult & i do believe that converts help me 2 leave things that r not allowed in ISLAM, converts inspire me & i am sure they inspire many like me.

    u r a blessing by ALLAH 2 me.

    thank u.

  • This video made me soo sad. MAY Allah guide the Muslims... And Khalid Latif is awesome :).

  • Salaam. This was great eye opener for me. I had no idea that converts felt this loneliness. InshaAllah I will make the effort to be more friendly and welcoming, esp eid celebrations and ramadan. I am so sorry brothers and sisters. Wallahi I feel awful about the number of times I ignored them unintentionally.

  • I loved this. And Khalid Latif is hilarious. Anyway, this was extremely beneficial, like I always thought o once u convert, u automatically know everything. Definitely gonna make sure to stop and listen and just be good to converts.... I love all the people on this panel. May Allah help them and their families through difficulties. Ameen.

  • @dcflaggclawandorder Yes mashallah Khalid Latif was a guest speaker at the MSA National East Zone in Conference and he gave such inspiring and educational words of wisdom to us today, and he has a great touch of humor in his lectures. May Allah give him great reward for all that he's done for us young Muslim converts (and older ones and non-converts)

  • @preciouskitten85 Thank you for the advice. I'll surely be more active in helping new muslims, or at least try to be helpful insha Allah. Please make dua for us. May Allah bless you and make things easy for you.

  • As a new muslimah ( convert 3 years) , I can relate to EVERYTHING that the speakers are saying- the lack of community, the mistrewed information , and the loneliness...Most importantly, extreme lonliness.. I dont think born muslims know what its like for a new Muslim- no one asked me to iftar dinners ( although some classmates knew I was a new muslim ), or how my ramadan was going, or trips to the masjid after class...i feel so alone---Its not easy. I pray that Allah gives me strength...

  • @preciouskitten85 @preciouskitten85 assalamualaikum sister. hang in there man, cause even if being lonely in this world is an issue and is most definitely tough its all about the hereafter insha allah. ive faltered into my heart moving away from islam but the heart will never be able to reconcile with itself. what i regret most is the fact that i wasnt patient enough with the bullshit that was going on around me to stay strong.

  • @preciouskitten85 ive been real lonely for years and ive made some awesome pious friends. but what greater friend than Allah

  • @preciouskitten85 I hope this year you got an invitation from someone during Eid, Iftar and other occasions.I really sorry to hear that.

  • 1:18:21

  • I also want to add that there was something about this group of panel. You all seem so approachable and kept me laughing and crying through out the entire film. As emotional it was, thank you for having the courage to sit their and spill your troubles and family situations to us, it was beneficial and I hope that your families see this and maybe try to understand you better. Thank You ICNYU and KEEP IT COMING!

  • Wow! I can't explain to you all how this was beneficial to me. As a "non-convert", I was just thinking, "This is how my revert friends feel? If so, how could I have missed it?' I hope to change my attitude toward peoples beliefs and to stop judging people based on their "level of faith". Thank you for having such a diversed group of people open my eyes. May Allah help you all through this and May Allah bless you all.

  • SubhanAllah May Allah preserve all the panel speakerrs and Imam Khalid Latif. I'm grateful that I was able to watch this, truly eye-opening and emotional for me, jazakallumulakhair!

  • Great video, really enjoyed the talk =]
