This really helps maintain the oil. I only use this in the morning . I wash my face with just water, than apply a moisturizer. Let it soothe in for a lil bit then put some of this on my face. I apply it with just my fingers and you don't need a lot. Just pour a little into a small cup. After a few hours I see my face isn't that oily. I'm a guy also too btw so I don't use no primer or makeup whatever that is -.- Before I used this my face used to be drenched in oil after 1-2 hours.

I have very oily skin and i saw that even after 10 plus hours with make up, after work, after doing sum errands, and a nap... only my nose was a bit shiny at the end of the day. i used a cotton ball to put it on. you have to work with it fast b/c it dries very fast on the skin, so just rubbing it in one section and then moving around your face works.
I tried this and got oily within 2 hours... Which is better than the 30 min it usually takes.. I guess I'll keep trying tho.. And I hope everything with the baby works out!

When I was younger and dealing with oily skin/hair I thought it was a curse. Had to wash hair twice a day in the summer and could wipe makeup off with just the grease from face...lol But now that I am older 50 yrs old I can tell you what you said about not getting as many wrinkles is partly correct. The othe part is if you protect your face/skin from sun with sunblock. There are so many really good self tanners now that who needs to cook in the sun. Btw everyone thinks I am in my late 30's

@jimmymastiff , try it forsure! i just got some and i put it on to try it, and it works amazing. It will go on clear so you don't need to cover it up with makeup after, dont worry. Definitely get some!

I just bought one of those, but not the original since they ran out, and I asked the guy who works there, and he said that the mint flavor is just the same as the original, it just has the mint flavor to it, that's all. This worked so well for me, I used to have to repowder during schoool like 3 times during the day. When I used this today I didnt have to blot at all, it lasted me from 6:00 a.m till 10:00 pm. Im so glad I found this. And it's all thanks to you. Btw I love the accent :)
woops sorry...I posted before I watched the whole thing! still think your skin looks flawless! :-) but..why would you need to use it with a primer? isn't that usually the job of the primer? I know that the primers are often pricey, I thought this was a cheap alternative to the primers.
Thank you sooo much! I tried this and it is the only thing that has worked for me! I have normal cheeks and a really extremely oily T-zone. I put it on and didn't use my primer. I didn't have any oil after like 8 hours! Normally I literally have to use powder or blotting sheets 30 minutes after putting on my make-up and all day long. I didn't touch up or use a blotting sheet at all! I live in hot and humid Texas and it is amazing to not get oily in this heat! lol Thanks so much again! It works!!

@ilovejustinbieber710 Girrrl. I would wash my face and then put a thin layer on my dry skin. Then I applied makeup. It creates a layer that your oil can't penetrate. Message me if you have annnny questions!

@LouisePink7 Do not use the flavored one, I'm pretty sure it has mineral oil or something that could break you out. Better look for the non-flavored MoM
This worked like a charm. But after 4 hours I still get shiny. I'm afrAid of puting more on it'll dry my skin out and make it more oily. But this stuff is absolutely amazing. You should definitely try unscented kitty litter as a mask. Lovely for oily skin. You just add water to it and warm it up then mix it into a muddy consistency.

ok so i looked up xerodema on you tube and the first 2 results that came up were a WAY worse than my skin so i dont think i have xerodema, i just have very dry skin! and i definitely dont have xeroderma on my face, i just get dry patches! but if i do have xeroderma on my face, its not as severe as the people that i seen on you tube! omg im so sorry! im probably not making sense! its just that ive very oily skin and i dont want it to dry out worse than it actually is!

@lilbluebuggaboo I have yet to recieve any breakouts, nor have any of the people I've recommended it too lol sometimes people just have dirty habits of not washing their makeup before sleeping, using dirty brushes, etc, that's what causes breakouts!

Thank you sooo much! I tried this and it is the only thing that has worked for me! I have normal cheeks and a really extremely oily T-zone. I put it on and didn't use my primer. I didn't have any oil after like 8 hours! Normally I literally have to use powder or blotting sheets 30 minutes after putting on my make-up and all day long. I didn't touch up or use a blotting sheet at all! I live in hot and humid Texas and it is amazing to not get oily in this heat! lol Thanks so much again! It works!!

So I tried this, & it works fantastically! Thanks so much for the tip! I've been using it every day for about 3 weeks, but I have a couple questions I hope you can answer!
1) Does it need to be stored in the fridge?
2) I wonder, would applying it before bed & other times of the day help in the long run of curing oily skin?

The pH of MoM is way to high for skin application... It's a shame, too; it's the only thing I've found that works for my oily skin.

@ilovejustinbieber710 Girrrl. I would wash my face and then put a thin layer on my dry skin. Then I applied makeup. It creates a layer that your oil can't penetrate. Message me if you have annnny questions!

then i dip my make up brush into the M.O.M and put it on all the ily spots
then let dry for like 3 minutes
within an hour my skin is so shiny..still! PLEASE HELP!

Well at least we won't have to worry about wrinkles, I guess that's one good thing! lol. Well, I've been using the M.O.M. for a little over a week now, & it definitely makes a WORLD of difference! I have the worst oily skin of anyone I've ever seen, & this stuff has helped a lot!

@96smidge Apply the M.O.M. beforeeee applying any make up! Make sure it's dried on your skin before applying foundation, or it will just wipe off.

I bought an off brand of Milk of Magnesia and you were so right! It works!! I have extremely oily skin too and after using this product like you recommended, the oil is gone!! And not only that, Im wearing it out in 90 degree weather and it is amazing!! Thanks so much!!

i bought some of those and it works!! but couple questions, i got the flavored kind because they didnt have the original kind but does it make a difference.? and is your skin suppose to feel kinda stickyish? because i have a hard time putting compact makeup on my face, it gets kinda blotchy looking...

@LouisePink7 Do not use the flavored one, I'm pretty sure it has mineral oil or something that could break you out. Better look for the non-flavored MoM

This worked like a charm. But after 4 hours I still get shiny. I'm afrAid of puting more on it'll dry my skin out and make it more oily. But this stuff is absolutely amazing. You should definitely try unscented kitty litter as a mask. Lovely for oily skin. You just add water to it and warm it up then mix it into a muddy consistency.

Thank you SO MUCH for this! I had been looking for oily skin remedies for awhile...but all the videos I found were like "Apply this....then this....then this....then dab with this every 5 minutes all day...." And seriously, who has time? I just bought some milk of magnesia today and ran home to wash my face and try it. It works amazingly. Like you, I'd have to blot my face like every ten minutes. In class or at work I'd always use the back of my forearm in a pinch! But this really works. THANKS!

ok so i looked up xerodema on you tube and the first 2 results that came up were a WAY worse than my skin so i dont think i have xerodema, i just have very dry skin! and i definitely dont have xeroderma on my face, i just get dry patches! but if i do have xeroderma on my face, its not as severe as the people that i seen on you tube! omg im so sorry! im probably not making sense! its just that ive very oily skin and i dont want it to dry out worse than it actually is!

hi! am i have very bad dry skin on my legs and arms and i think its called xeroderma? but its not as bad on my face, i just get dry patches around my chin and cheeks and stuff. but anyway, on the other hand i have EXTREMELY oily skin on my T bone area and forehead, just like you said when you went to the dollar store and you had to put powder on, well my skin is exactly like that! but see im afraid that if i use the product that my face will dry out even worse due to the xeroderma!

oooh I may have to try this. I've tried Monistat and several high-end primers... but they don't work for me at all! And I don't even have super oily skin, I have combination skin that just gets oily when I wear makeup. Might try this and use a very small amount. congrats on your news! @lilbluebuggaboo I have yet to recieve any breakouts, nor have any of the people I've recommended it too lol sometimes people just have dirty habits of not washing their makeup before sleeping, using dirty brushes, etc, that's what causes breakouts!
