The reason for the double standard could probably be because of the genetic difference that man are physically powerful. It's logical to know that a grown man is capable of seriously harming a young girl, while vice versa, a woman in her 30's can't overpower a younger man in his teens. This is from my own experience that I've had when I was 19 and I was with my lady, who was 26 at the time. For example, she's small at 5'3, but incredibly curvy :).
