  • The sooner the uk given it's democratic referendum, the better!!!

How much longer, before Cameron's conscience gets the better of him, I wonder?

I think that as soon as the uk pulls out, a few more nations will follow suit.

  • Barroso, what a joke... he was the one who started to sink this country into the sew where it is now!... I admire you Mr. Farage, and please don't call Barroso as "Mr. Barroso"... He was a disgrace for Portugal and he is a disgrace for Europe now!... Call him SHIT!

  • We probably need a Birtish Leader in Greece. .....Farage is the one.

  • Wow he's good, he's very good.

  • @BusinessDK I agree 100%. Unfortunately most people in the UK don't know who he is. He should be hailed instead of hidden by the British media. But there you go..

  • Greetings from the U.S. We need Nigel in our Congress STAT.

  • @mark32811 In the US he would have been labeld a godless communist.

  • @feonor26 I truly wish that someone would speak to Obama like this. He's a lying TRAITOR, and nobody even has the guts to mention he's broken every single campaign promise he ever made. Hitler, anyone?

  • @mark32811 na hitler was a little more out in the open with what he was goin to do

  • @mark32811 At least Obama was elected and he can be removed. The assholes in the EU commission is not responsible to anyone, they're unelected and unremovable. Sovjet all over again! I can't believe people of Europe can be this blind and let this happen?

  • @feonor26 The President of the commission is voted by MEP's who are voted by EU citizens, so its our own fault if we dont want him

  • @Sawdy07 Yeah! How convenient wasn't it that Barroso was the only candidate for the position?

  • And there are some here in the US that want an EU model. They are already doing that here, everytime the President appoints a czar it is a slap in the face of our republican system.

  • great guy ! great speeker !

at least he speaks out for freedom and democracy !

only the fools believe in this EU-system

  • HAHA!

  • he should annouce a restling match and bring some items like a sledge hammer thumbtacks chairs tables iron bars... and let the parliamentarian fight.

    Lets get ready to ruuuuuumbleee....

  • What a nutjob.

  • @suntanners Tell me whos in charge of the anti fraud squad and what was he convicted for?

Would you buy a used car from this commission?

The EU is not even a parliament. NONE of the members can propose legistation. All they can vote on is yes or no on what the comissioners give them. An UNELECTED bureaucracy which cant be voted in or out by us the people.

That means the people that make our rules arent accountable to us.

Cathy Ashton who he didnt mention was under investigation from MI6 also

  • @NicosMind,of course they are not elected by us,if that was the case we would all be part of an EU nation. The commissioners are chosen by our head of states, elected by us the people. The commission can't be voted out by us the people, but can by the EU parliament, again elected by us.Indirect democracy is still democracy. It's hardly an authocratic regime we're living under.

  • @SLPBritain Cathy Ashton has never been voted in by anyone. The "votes" for the commission are done in secret. Try as you might to tart it up and make excuses for it this isnt a democracy, and is very simular to the Soviet Union.

All parliaments of "democratic" regions elect parties. There is no opposition party in the EU, only cheerleaders. Yes there may be people who are anti-EU in the parliament but there is no ruling party, and in fact only the comission has any real power! Noone else does!

  • @NicosMind,she was appointed by majority of the European Council, our heads of government. How would you propose that she be appointed?

There is opposition in the EUP,Martin Schulz head of the Socialists and democrats and Daniel Cohn-Bendit head of the Greens both opposed Barroso's 2nd term as Commission president.Just because you are pro-EU doesn't mean you are not an opposition. And yes the Commission has the power to propose legislation but the ultimate decision on the legislation is decided by

  • @SLPBritain,the EU parliament and believe it or not the European Council, our democratically elected heads of government. The Commission has the power to propose but not to pass legislation,so you can't be right in saying they have "all" the power, when the final decision of accepting legislation lies with all our democratically elected politicians. It really couldn't be more transparent than that,go back to sleep if you think this is the Soivet Union.

  • shame on french and british pm to support third world countries for joining EC and enhancing economical crisis

  • i think that he looks more as a bankboss than van rompuy

en he has a garisma of a dweil

and is a fucking stupid populist

  • nigel pwns purely and simply.

  • farage is fun to watch, he makes a fool of himself, so it's comedy; the other MEPs agree with me since I can hear them laughing and clapping

  • The E.U. is the new USSR.

  • @Geostrategic1

Yeah, unfortunately, yes. We hate it, but they want it.

  • @MrPeterJeffrey , Those that continue pushing this corrupt dictatorial monstrosity will get what the ask for. The shame is everyone opposed will be in the same sinking ship.

  • Great speech!

    Greetings from the US!

  • Nigel Farage for President!. Greetings from Spain.

  • @sucubusa same! except greetings... here from switzerland :D

  • I don't know that I'd vote UKIP, but Nigel Farage is a legend.

  • 30 september

VOTE FOR NO CONDAMNED PEOPLE IN THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION

  • lolz new car

  • "One man standing up for right, is worth more than a million who sit in silence." ~djd Unfortunately one man is not enough... don't allow one brave man to stand up for right, to stand alone. If others rise in spite of their fear, evil gets put in its place and the people are empowered. Sit in silence and you allow evil to grow greater, and the collective gets weakened. It doesn't matter if you are not as witty or articulate as Nigel, he is gifted, but you are needed.

  • iam from germany and i like nigel very much. ye i support him. greetz to the uk

  • This seems alright, but look up a bit more of UKIP. It's rather frightening.

  • I looked them up and didnt see anything frightening.

The way the EU does whatever it likes against the will of the public is frightening.

One day we will wake up and democracy will be a thing of the past, and we wont be able to get it back.

  • I wish our Congress was half as funny!

  • Which corrupt party will YOU vote for in this election? If you vote LibLabCon YOU will be responcible for what they get up too. Vote independent in this election and send a message that we are not going to take this crap any more.

  • What this good people get in benefits and salaries actually offends the working poor! CLOWNS RICH !!!

  • The tragedy for Britain are the FACTS and under Farage's leadership any trust has vanished, On 11 February in local elections: Ashfield BC Hucknall Ward: Lab 675 Con 437 Lib Dems 357 UKIP 158 BNP 131 UKIPs Ashfield vote has dropped by 23 votes since the last election. Telford & Wrekin BC Nedge Ward Con 760 Lab 688 UKIP 237 BNP 103 UKIP's support in Telford is down by 224 votes. The decline of UKIP continues despite Lord Pearsons election as leader. Membership of the EFD has been catastrophic
  • You're obviously wearing the horse's blinkers then.

  • What about Greece,s national debt Mr Farge please ask Where is all the money EU giving Greece for the last 30 years,i,ll tell you Mr Farge to Corupt the same people you just mentioned ,or better to falsify History only English, can tell the Greeks in they face what they really are.I watch a video from Barroso when he was ask Question on by Dutch parlamentarian what kind of Institution was Europe he struggle to answer what a shame talking like 6 years old asked about his Family what a fan.

  • the grey haired guy in the background is having the time of his life!!!!

  • "..would you buy a used car from this commission"

    Haha! Nice

  • I LOVE THIS GUY ! GOOD OLD BRITISH GRIT

  • Anyone that read that last comment by steveooo1000... Please do NOT vote for the BNP! They have NOTHING to do with UKIP & are nothing more than scumbag thugs in suits! We cannot survive without trading with Europe BUT trading does NOT have to include full EU membership.

I will be voting UKIP and I am proud to advise anyone to do the same.

    God B. Less!

  • No not the BNP they want to leave everything to do with Europe. UKIP want free trade with Europe etc... Just not to be part of a fascist Political Union.

  • @ModWeekly Free trade is fine. The free movement of people with the rights of settlement is not. The EU and the Euro should be disbanded.

  • 1:54 Mike Nattrass that is one amusing guy!!=))

  • Congratz UKIP

    Greetings from Czech Republic!

  • @filip846 Thank you to your President Václav Klaus also! :)

  • Vote, UKIP,

  • This guys is great! I'm voting UKIP! He's as British as we come!

  • The Main political Parties are all corrupt, they all have their noses in feeding trough and are stealing from us, they are all thieves together.

They would like to keep it this way, it's a cosy little club and a nice little earner for them, nobody wants to rock the boat .

I am now of the opinion that we must put an end to their thieving ways!

I'm voting BNP in June, Vote BNP, UKIP, GREENS, COMMUNIST, MONSTER RAVING LOONY PARTY!

just don't vote for the current criminal establishment!

  • Mr ShultZ!!! is Nonsense What we are attacking is the fact that the European Union/ Parliament has changed over the past eighteen years from the idea of a common market agreement.

To an unaccountable anti-democratic Organisation that spits in the face of logic and presses ahead with its Bulldozer agenda to Turn Europe into an Unwanted United States of Europe. We need to have a Great Trade agreement with the World But its Time to Pull out of the E.U. the U.K has had enough of their tripe

  • butthole pleasures.

  • I have to admit that Nigel Farage has a great sense of humour (British humour!!! Lol lolo) on the other hand, Its a shame that he is so anti European Union He does not understand that the EU is for the best British interests! Is not a treat to British identity, the British way of life, or a treat to the future of the delicious Yorkshire Pudding or the roast beef:-)

  • How can it be in Britain's best interest?

The EU is the reason we can't deport terrorists.Uman rights, innit?

  • i don't share nigel farage point of view, but he is intituled to do it.

Saying that he is acting like a Cuban is ridiculous he is doing what is suppose to do as a member of the opposition in the ue parliament. And I think your remarks against the british are a little be xenophobes.

  • fuck you! this guy is a fascist, don't you see! And a hypocrite! He is against the EU and yet a member of the European Parliamenty

  • Britain must leave the EU.

  • the EU must be changed into something else, for the people

away with the super state and the centralisation of power

  • we need the uk in europe. the uk helped to shape the ue end they can make the difference. with the uk europe is more stronger... and better. i hope the next president of the ue commision will be a british top politician . tony blair ??

  • With all due respect, few have been as deceitful as Obama... I support your call for people to vote for EU Skeptics, but Europe's obsession with Obama seems a bit misplaced. Please realize I mean this with all due respect...

  • President obama is a inteligent, well educated an a decent human been! Great President, carismatic! Better than many americans who criticized him...

In europe we have no obsession for US Presidents! we love inteligent people, that's all...

  • Obama is an economic illiterate that is perpetuating the downfall of the American economy. Charisma is irrelevant when he, Bernanke, and Geithner will collapse the American economy through debt-financed consumption and the reinflation of a housing bubble.

  • The difficult US economic situation is nothing to do with President Obama. He inherited it! Charisma is important for a U.S. President transmits confidence. Obama is irresistible, makes us love his country and the people who elected him

  • Yes, it does. He did inherit a mess--from the Federal Reserve--but he is only exacerbating the situation by engaging in expansionist monetary and fiscal policy that will wring the necks of the poorest and will bring industry to its knees.

  • The stimulus packaged is need in America not because President Obama and his administration like to spend tax payers money, but because the US economy and many of his infrastructures needs to be modernize after almost 10 years of no public investments made by Bush administration! Its urgent for the US to rebuild a XXI century economy: more environmental friendly, new sources of energy, etc.

  • You're kidding, right? Bush used the SAME kinds of stimulus packages throughout his 8 years (not 10...).

Building infrastructure (roads, etc) is fine but it is terribly economically inefficient to be engaging in what it is not yet even profitable for the private sector to do yet. This argument is entirely fallacious and is built on the concept that it is the governments job to build these things. If they were desired enough by the people, they would fund them themselves.

  • A real economy needs good infrastructures otherwise investments goes to another places. I give an example: during Bush Adm. a big European company wanted to create a wind energy farm in the US, with a factory and everything. Huge investment that did not materialize because the high tension wire to carry the Electricity was very expensive and there was no public Investment to implement it Im talking about real economy, and not about virtual or speculative economy.

  • Wind mills are not basic infrastructure, my friend. Just like the railroads in the 1800s, when there is not enough demand or the technology is not good enough to reach economies of scale, trying to force the market to adjust through government regulation only creates massive inefficiencies.

  • I see them as basic investments money put in the real economy to create jobs, new business etc. In Europe in the last years we had a huge EU program of modernization of the economy! That money was able to create thousands of new business and jobs all over Europe with the only propose to give assistance for the bigger enterprises for them to accomplish the new EU requirements on energy efficiency, save work etc. I think is this kind of solution Pres. Obama has in mind with his stimulus package

  • Your logic is severely flawed. You've created for yourself a static economy in which no new jobs can be created without the magic scepter of a monolithic government. History and economic thought is on my side, not yours. And no, even the basic premise that this is what Obama is proposing is patently wrong.

  • Im not for a state economy! But when the economy is in so bad shape, and the government has money and the country needs to modernize his infrastructure, than public investments can make all the difference! What is real important is to put an end to this crisis as soon as possible! Doesnt matter if the money is public or private!

  • Keynesian economics fails miserably. Not only is stimulus spending empirically proven as being nothing but a short-run burst then a subsequent fall in long run potential GDP, but what you're describing is, to a t, statism.

And yes, it does matter if the money is public or private. Stimulus spending can happen in one of three ways: monetization, higher taxes, or borrowing. When money is borrowed to finance "stimulus" spending, it is taken from the private sector. Opportunity costs!!!

  • Im not sure if the money on the stimulus plan was borrowed! Even if its true, a growing economy will generate money in the future to pay the loan! I agree that the spending of tax payers money must be made in a wisely and transparent manner. On the other hand, short and long term programs to renewal economy and modernize some of his infrastructures can really make the difference! We have done that in Europe, and its been a success! Why could not be a success also in the US?

  • Let's assume it's one of the other means. Let's assume we've simply monetized it then. How the heck do you print $3 trillion, which is just less than 1/4 of GDP, and not expect to get hyperinflation over the next decade?

You're completely ignoring the crux of what I'm saying. "Stimulus" spending crowds out private investment, which stifles long run potential GDP. The New Deal programs masked as "stimulus" prolonged the Great Depression over half a decade...

  • Go take some basic macroeconomics courses if you wish to brush up your arguments.

  • An amazing statement. It never ceases to amaze me that so many people think the government has its own money. The only money the government has is OURS which they collect through taxation.

  • Imagine that the US Government decides to implement a program in order to generalize the use of electric automobiles in the USA! Can you imagine the great opportunities for the US industries? The money bilions of dolars year Americans pay for their energy supply could remain in the country, creating new opportunities and investments.

  • Why General motors and US automobile industry is not using the new US Administration package to reconvert his production, and start to produce electric cars for instance? The Chinese announced yesterday that they will star to produce electric cars, many for the European and American markets? Why them and not the Us automobile industry? This crises is plenty of new opportunities! Many people in Europe wants electrical cars because they are environmental friendly and because the pay less taxes

  • Thanks for your comment but can Obama even get close to the number of lies the EU has told :

There are no plans for a European superstate.

There are no plans for a European Army.

There are no plans to take British & French foreign naval bases under EU control.

Galileo is for civilian use only.

The (un-elected) commission repects the Irish vote.

Ireland's NO is against the will of millions of Europeans.

The Czech Republic's hesitancy is holding babk the

    will of millions of Europeans.

    ???

  • Some Brits act like the Cubans of Europe...

  • Would you mind expanding on that?

  • Truth hurts you...? I guess so...

  • SMS from your friends and collaborators in London with the intention to discourage the Irish friends about the Lisbon treaty...Shame on you! You just want your way...You should inform what the Lisbon treaty really is all about - You are the enemy of Europe! Do you have friends in Washington D.C.?!

  • nunoquadros are you Barroso in disguise?

  • A gang of thieves - that's what EC is

  • Nigel is a hero!

Barroso is working for the power hungry elites hiding in the shadows. He doesnt represent truth or democracy but tyranny.

THe EU should be disbanded forever.

As long as the EU exists the power hungry international bankers lurking in the shadows, pulling all the puppet strings and selecting all the puppets as Sarkozy and Barroso will attempt coup after coup (like is occurring now by trying to ignore the NOs by France, Holland and Ireland) UNTIL they get their DICTATORSHIP.

  • lol who was that guy clapping at the beginning, nigel is a legend and pretty funny in a sarcastic way.

  • outstanding man

  • Yup! Guys a genius!

  • Nigel Farage - best politician in Europe

  • People we need to support this man!!
