love the diffuser in the summer..easy quick look..works better if you kinda put the blow dryer pointing up towards the ceiling and kinda scrunch ur hair into the diffuser..I usually flip my hair upside down..find it easier that way..but just keep scrunching ur hair into the diffuser..make sure ur blow drying up..use it like a bowl I guess..lol..hard to explain
ok ur funny! Ive been a hairstylist for 3 years.. the small black attachment is used for a straight blow dry. it will tame any frizz and help with control. also you can hold it about 4-6 inches from your hair. The diffuser you want to avoid touching your curls so just hold it at the bottom of your hair strands and push up toward your scalp making a pile of hair at the scalp. when you touch it and continue to scrunch your curls as you are diffusing you are adding frizz to your curls. thanks!
ps: The purpose of the attachments are to extend the area between your hair and the heating element. Without the attachment, it's a lot easier to burn your hair.

no your are really not doing this right. go see a stylist and they will show you what to do..... and if you can afford all that M.A.C. then you can get the good products they tell you to get to make you curl hold. do it.
put the dryer on the lower speed and place it on the ends of your hair and work it up slowly be sure to use lots of product i recommend the tousle me softly by herbal esences and trust me girl it works fucking awesome

Hello! :) I was just watching your video and I wanted to let you know that you should put your hair ends in the diffuser and hold it up to your root ). The cool button is to set your hair. If you heat it and then let it drop, since its still warm (hot) the cuticle of your hair is going to relax and turn into a wave, rather than a defined curl.
i have very curly long hair and i only straighten it and all i use is the moroccan oil it really has kept my hair healthy and growing even though i constintly damage it .........lol i know about that wave in the back of your hair too!

Lol.. the first nozzel is actually supposed to be used with a round brush. You would pull the brush through your hair and then put the dryer on the other side kind of like flattening it out. It's perfect to create good body and those silky big wavy curls you see on the commercials. That's probably why it's reffered to as the professional one because it's very commonly used in most salons to achieve a high gloss and good body. BTW, I would use a little less mousse otherwise it dries very hard.
put the power down much lower. and dont use it on high heat or you will get frizz. also, make sure your hair is more wet. the diffuser should give you a gentle breeze not a pounding shot of hot air or else it defeats the purpose.
but i dont think you could really mess up that awesome hair of yours! lol
This is a really really good tip. I like to pull my hair up in my hand and hold it there while I use the diffuser on low and when I let my hair go it usually falls into a really nice curl.
First, get 'a hand full of hair', and put it into the diffuser. Then push the diffuser against your head and hold it like that for a wile. Do this around your whole head and you're ready!
My Lord your hair is amazing! Do not ever cut it, It is too beautiful to cut. I have a problem with my hair being wavey in the front and then curly as all hell in the back. I used to have platinum blonde hair and I would straighten everyday. Now that I'm almost 30 I've let my hair be natural. It's naturally dark brown and I actually like it now, unlike when I was younger. I still straighten it every now and then.
When i use the diffuser i tend to put my head upside down (when its still wet) and diffuse it like that, piling a section of my hair into the diffuser which is facing upwards. Makes my hair really curly and big. Its great!
the tunnel looking thingy (lol) that you used at the end of the video is applied to the end of the hairdryer same as the diffuser, and you comb your hair.. pref. w/a round or battle brush while blow drying as close as possible to the hair w/the tunnel, & it really helps to straighten your hair & control the frizz. =]
you are acctually suppost to put the eds of your hair in the defuser, and push it up to your scalp, with all the hair in it and kind of scrunch it with the defuser ;)
You're so cute :) For the diffuser, you actually have to take the tips of your hair and put it kind of ON the diffuser and then scrunch your hair with the diffuser... like bring the diffuser up to your scalp with the hair bunched up inside... am I making any sense??? The slimmer mouthed equipment that came with your blow dryer is called a concentrator. What it does is it straightens your hair as you dry it. To use it..all u gotta do is attach it to the blow dryer and then as though you're flattening your hair..run it through and down your hair in that motion! :) Hope I explained it right and u understand!!!

i was right there with you when i first got my diffuser....um what i found works awesome is when your hair is wet but not too wet..like when you come out the shower put the products you want in your hair let it dry a little bit so its not tooo wet, then from the tips of your hair you put the diffuser there and push your hair up toward your roots like wayo 36 says...and there you go
take the diffuser and put it to the tip of your hair and hold it up toward the roots. kind of hold your hair in it like putting it in a basket. when you want to do your roots hold the diffuser to the middle of your head and move up to the top of your head. that should do it.
the other nozzle is for straitening your hair....put the nozzle on, get a flat brush and as your brushing thru your hair and dryin put the dryer right on the brush and brush and dry simultaneously hope that helps

i'm taking hairdressing, and one teacher i had, she had very curly hair.. she was the one who taught me to do it properly. Once u get out of the shower, put some thermal protectant in, mouse or curl enhancer and frizz serum or any product u choose. Scrunch your hair with your hands for a few mins until u see the curl u want. Tip your head back , to the side, or upside down so ur hair iss off the scalp to give llift. and gather the hair in the difuser in a motion towards and away from the head
everything you are doing is fine, i do the same thing, but i do it with wet hair, it can't be dry otherwise it wont work. i get out of the shower, comb my hair, put on a mouse, scrunch it, then use a diffuser
Dry from root to tip not tip to root because your ends are the driest part of ur hair and most susceptible to damage. :) If you can let ur hair airdry about 75-80% then blow dry the rest to cut out on the heat. Using a heat protector before blow drying/ flat ironing ect is a good idea too. I read alot of hair articles and visit forums and stuff so I know a lil something about healthy haircare. Not a guru though.
I use a heat protective syrum followed by a leave in light conditioner and blow dry with an Ionizer style blow dryer with a flat tip for direct air flow so it doesn't just blow air around and for a bit of volume blow dry upside down for a few seconds and make sure to use a round brush . TADA beautiful silky soft air that isn't poof poodle
That isn't how I use a hair diffuser...I uploaded a video on how I use it. I sit my hair in the diffuser and move it in an up and down motion to make the hair curly and wavy..HTH :-)
It doesn't matter what you put in ur hair just make sure your hair is wet not damp put ur product in and then flip ur head upside down. it should turn out ten times better
I love Paul Mitchell's round trip. It's for curly hair and works wonders with a diffuser. I diffuse atleast 2 clients a week with it. LOVE diffusers. Try flipping upside down for sure. LoL. Or putting the in the diffuser. Your super cute trying this all on your own. LoL. But Mousse works well too. You can "cocktail" products together too. Best of luck with the new dryer :)
i worked at a salon for two years and the stylists had a lot of methods to diffuse curly hair... i find that, esp. w/ longer hair, it's easy to just flip your head upside down and place your hair on the diffuser. with shorter hair if you aim the dryer upwards you can just place the hair on top of the diffuser. once you put the product in finger curl small sections then place them over the nozzle. you'll wind up with perfect curls that don't get blown out and frizzy
You should try using the TRESemme Flawless Curls mousse! I have tried a variety of products for curly hair and this works the best!! The diffuser is usually more for the scalp when you use it..dont move it all around like that so fast, well at least thats not what I do. You should also try the Kiyoseki K-Styler. Its a flat iron that works wonders!! I have extremely curly hair and I have found that this is the only iron to actually straighten my hair and keep it straight!

i've been diffusing my wavy hair for years now. this is how i do this...
i usually put some moose on my hair while its damp. then i put my head upside down and move the diffuser around while scrunching it. after a while, you will get the hang of it or coem up with your own technique

put the power down much lower. and dont use it on high heat or you will get frizz. also, make sure your hair is more wet. the diffuser should give you a gentle breeze not a pounding shot of hot air or else it defeats the purpose.
but i dont think you could really mess up that awesome hair of yours! lol

This is a really really good tip. I like to pull my hair up in my hand and hold it there while I use the diffuser on low and when I let my hair go it usually falls into a really nice curl.

hihhi.....ok, how to use a diffuser:
First, get 'a hand full of hair', and put it into the diffuser. Then push the diffuser against your head and hold it like that for a wile. Do this around your whole head and you're ready!

My Lord your hair is amazing! Do not ever cut it, It is too beautiful to cut. I have a problem with my hair being wavey in the front and then curly as all hell in the back. I used to have platinum blonde hair and I would straighten everyday. Now that I'm almost 30 I've let my hair be natural. It's naturally dark brown and I actually like it now, unlike when I was younger. I still straighten it every now and then.
Pretty makeup by the way.

When i use the diffuser i tend to put my head upside down (when its still wet) and diffuse it like that, piling a section of my hair into the diffuser which is facing upwards. Makes my hair really curly and big. Its great!

the tunnel looking thingy (lol) that you used at the end of the video is applied to the end of the hairdryer same as the diffuser, and you comb your hair.. pref. w/a round or battle brush while blow drying as close as possible to the hair w/the tunnel, & it really helps to straighten your hair & control the frizz. =]

You're so cute :) For the diffuser, you actually have to take the tips of your hair and put it kind of ON the diffuser and then scrunch your hair with the diffuser... like bring the diffuser up to your scalp with the hair bunched up inside... am I making any sense??? That way, the heat is being distributed to your hair WHILE your hair is scrunched :) which is supposed to help set the curls :) Hope I helped!!!

The slimmer mouthed equipment that came with your blow dryer is called a concentrator. What it does is it straightens your hair as you dry it. To use it..all u gotta do is attach it to the blow dryer and then as though you're flattening your hair..run it through and down your hair in that motion! :) Hope I explained it right and u understand!!!

i was right there with you when i first got my diffuser....um what i found works awesome is when your hair is wet but not too wet..like when you come out the shower put the products you want in your hair let it dry a little bit so its not tooo wet, then from the tips of your hair you put the diffuser there and push your hair up toward your roots like wayo 36 says...and there you go

take the diffuser and put it to the tip of your hair and hold it up toward the roots. kind of hold your hair in it like putting it in a basket. when you want to do your roots hold the diffuser to the middle of your head and move up to the top of your head. that should do it.

the other nozzle is for straitening your hair....put the nozzle on, get a flat brush and as your brushing thru your hair and dryin put the dryer right on the brush and brush and dry simultaneously hope that helps

i'm taking hairdressing, and one teacher i had, she had very curly hair.. she was the one who taught me to do it properly. Once u get out of the shower, put some thermal protectant in, mouse or curl enhancer and frizz serum or any product u choose. Scrunch your hair with your hands for a few mins until u see the curl u want. Tip your head back , to the side, or upside down so ur hair iss off the scalp to give llift. and gather the hair in the difuser in a motion towards and away from the head

everything you are doing is fine, i do the same thing, but i do it with wet hair, it can't be dry otherwise it wont work. i get out of the shower, comb my hair, put on a mouse, scrunch it, then use a diffuser

Dry from root to tip not tip to root because your ends are the driest part of ur hair and most susceptible to damage. :) If you can let ur hair airdry about 75-80% then blow dry the rest to cut out on the heat. Using a heat protector before blow drying/ flat ironing ect is a good idea too. I read alot of hair articles and visit forums and stuff so I know a lil something about healthy haircare. Not a guru though.

I use a heat protective syrum followed by a leave in light conditioner and blow dry with an Ionizer style blow dryer with a flat tip for direct air flow so it doesn't just blow air around and for a bit of volume blow dry upside down for a few seconds and make sure to use a round brush . TADA beautiful silky soft air that isn't poof poodle

That isn't how I use a hair diffuser...I uploaded a video on how I use it. I sit my hair in the diffuser and move it in an up and down motion to make the hair curly and wavy..HTH :-)

I love Paul Mitchell's round trip. It's for curly hair and works wonders with a diffuser. I diffuse atleast 2 clients a week with it. LOVE diffusers. Try flipping upside down for sure. LoL. Or putting the in the diffuser. Your super cute trying this all on your own. LoL. But Mousse works well too. You can "cocktail" products together too. Best of luck with the new dryer :)

i worked at a salon for two years and the stylists had a lot of methods to diffuse curly hair... i find that, esp. w/ longer hair, it's easy to just flip your head upside down and place your hair on the diffuser. with shorter hair if you aim the dryer upwards you can just place the hair on top of the diffuser. once you put the product in finger curl small sections then place them over the nozzle. you'll wind up with perfect curls that don't get blown out and frizzy

You should try using the TRESemme Flawless Curls mousse! I have tried a variety of products for curly hair and this works the best!! The diffuser is usually more for the scalp when you use it..dont move it all around like that so fast, well at least thats not what I do. You should also try the Kiyoseki K-Styler. Its a flat iron that works wonders!! I have extremely curly hair and I have found that this is the only iron to actually straighten my hair and keep it straight!

i've been diffusing my wavy hair for years now. this is how i do this...
i usually put some moose on my hair while its damp. then i put my head upside down and move the diffuser around while scrunching it. after a while, you will get the hang of it or coem up with your own technique
