  • Beautiful music! I love this composer too!!

    Thank you!

  • I must say that your version, even with the little flaws, is my favorite on youtube. I've heard very few people play this piece with your level of sincerity. You play from the heart and make it sound joyful. Thank you.

  • Very nice! I love Tarrega!

    Keep it up!

  • Well done! You seem to really be enjoying yourself. It's been awhile since you posted this vid so any critique I might have has probably been addressed by now. XD 1:03 on is tricky but needs to be played with confidence. That slide bit is a bit of a gimmick so you need to come forth confidently. There was a little bit around 1:16 or with just some buzzy chords but I know, from your face in the video, that you recognized this. I was really impressed that it didn't throw you and you did well. :)

  • You're a very good student and by the sound and looks of it, you've got potential. Hey, you'll never know, you could be the next Xue-Fei Yang! I can tell that your best friend is your guitar and you know how to handle it and caress it and tease it and communicate with it...just like the way Xue-Fei does with her guitars. When I was madly in love with my classical guitar back then...hell, I even slept with it on a lot of occasions.

  • @someonewithaguitar

    Very supportive of you.

If you had a brain, you might have realised that this vid is 4 years old....Julie was a beginner on the instrument. At least she moved on and improved dramatically. You, on the other hand, still appear to be struggling with your potty training.

  • 0:33 i think u got those two chords wrong coz i played this song at my finals and it sounded difrently...this is great i love it !!!! :D

  • ur so sweet when ur figer moved i dnt what !! bt i really appriciate even i struggle to play the same bt its nt that difficult i"ll upload it soon as mah 1st video on youtube jst fr u !!!!cheers

  • you have small hands.. u play 640mm guitar? i play with the 650mm with my small hands too and it get painful and buzzing all all day long.

  • inspiring.

  • Good Job.

  • PARABÉNS JULIE, GOSTEI MUITO!!!

  • i like it! thats and awesome piece right there!

  • MIRA FRANCISCO , LA GENTE HACE LO MEJOR QUE PUEDE Y SE VA ENTREGANDO, NO SEAS PAYASITO Y SEGURAMENTE TU SONABAS NO PERFECTAMENTE AL PRINCIPIO, ASI QUE DEJATE DE BOLUDESES Y DEJAA LA GENTE COMPARTIR LO QUE SABE...........

  • MIRA FRANCISCO , LA GENTE HACE LO MEJOR QUE PUEDE Y SE VA ENTREGANDO, NO SEAS PAYASITO Y SEGURAMENTE TU SONABAS NO PERFECTAMENTE AL PRINCIPIO, ASI QUE DEJATE DE BOLUDESES Y DEJAA LA GENTE COMPARTIR LO QUE SABE

  • Otra Version Que Le Falta Pasion Y Entrega, Pero Porque Le Gusta A La Gente Tocar Piesas De Un Alto Nivel..., Mi Mejor Consejo Es Que Reexamines Piesas Mas Faciles..., Apuesto Que Probablemente Tienes 4 o 5 años de practica, o no?, yo tengo 7 años de experiencia, pero tengo 17 años, mira practica tecnica i muy pronto podras tocar esta pieza, porque ahorita no suena muy bien...

  • i would like to play like you ;)

  • Lo tocais mejor que yo.

  • Lovely. I have a crush on you.

  • @muhrvis She gorgeous isn't she.

  • Ahhhh.....A beautiful woman with talent. I love it.

  • @LaserBeam002

LOL! Keep on searching. There's loads of this combination in the world!

  • I liked this, i would have played it just a bit slower so that the 'Trio' section would flow better. Well done!

  • very nice - just try to make a smooth transition with those pick up notes. i know they are tricky - just practic them by themselves. otherwise you have done a great job.

  • Great work! Keep at it.!

  • Bravo!!!

    exelente Julie

    César Amaro

  • você toca muito bém, e tambem muito linda

  • It doesn't have to be faster, not everything has to be played at 1000bpm! She sounds great!

  • A lot of people are saying to play it faster. However, it is good you posted this. When you do decide to start playing it faster, you can look back and see progress. This always helps me. It helps me know I'm getting better.

    I love to play this.

You play much better though. Well done!

  • Only 4 years? I've been playing that piece for about 15 and I'm only just getting there [and I've been pickin' guitar a long time before that]. So you just keep playin' and you'll get real good ---- and you're cute too!

  • @bazjax52. Thanks a lot!

  • Wao, excelente Julie.

  • well done

    keep playing classic guitar =)

    tobias

  • Nicely done! This piece is much more difficult than it appears upon first glance...keep it up, and ignore the naysayers! Even Led Zeppelin was told they'd sink "like a lead balloon"...show's you what the masses know ;)

  • @evilwuun Actually, they were told by a former band member, who was kicked out, that they would sink like a Lead Zeppelin (a Zeppelin being a balloon aircraft used in WWI) out of spite.

  • hi julie i liked your performance can you see my videos and tell me how do i play i never had classes so i dont think i play very well

    congrats!!!

  • so sweet

  • beautiful...you have music in your being...

  • A Rose playing a piece named Little Rose... Beauty both to the eyes and heart.

    Warm salutations from Portugal.

    <3

  • I love that you kept this with the errors and you grinning about them. Everybody expects perfection, it's nice to see some humanity.

  • too slow, the tempo is originally supposed to be faster.

I played this one about 3 years ago,

    I'm practicing it again now..

maybe I'll upload an ultra-fast version when I'm ready =)

  • Well done !

(Love the penguin (?) in the background too).

  • Very well played!

  • Hi julie have you played other instruments in particular anything with strings on or maybe piano in the past kind regards Robert

  • you are so beautiful! :D

  • Beautiful nicely done!

  • so beautiful :)

  • You play lovely! I, too, have been practicing this song for about a month!

Definitely one of my favorite pieces from Tarrega!

  • try to learn it faster its funny

  • don't worry about the nasty negative comments..everybody has his own qualities..i know how hard it is and even harder to perform on video(nerves, mistakes)..its not about speed its about life,feelings,emotion...so just do what you gotta do and ignore people like dev1anter,they are pathetic...greetings

  • How sad you obviously do not know the difference between "A most difficult" and "THE most difficult"

  • Why do you feel the need to comment in this fashion? I can only assume that you were much better than this after only 2 years of learning the instrument, or that you are compensating for something lacking in your life....I think we all know the answer.

  • Not the most difficult, but difficult nontheless.

How 'bout contributing some constructive criticism instead of just condescending right away?

  • @Bayito Did you maybe stop to consider that maybe its difficult for HER if not for you? Pick up an oxford dictionary and look up condescending, I think you'll find quite an accurate description of yourself.

  • she said a most difficult piece to play you asshole. get a life eh?

  • Aaahhhh !!!!

  • That was fun! I'm going to learn that one... I think I have it...very very nice....you see how good you are- people tell you it should be faster because they apparantly think you're a pro! You must be getting close!

  • sometimes you produce a good sound and sometimes you loose it. normally this peace must be faster that this. but well comprehention to the text. although it miss some practical accuracy. the ryhthem should be always alive and present.

  • well i feel you playing it too too slow..!

  • Top stuff CM.

Patrioto was clearly mesmerised. He was about to keel over backwards in awe!!

    PKP1

  • rock on chickie!!!

  • love it! too bad we cant see your right hand...

nice to see that not only boys/men post their videos

  • Well done. A fun piece. I was smiling all the way through it.

  • thanks for posting. takes a lot of courage to put something out there when you know it's not perfect yet.

Anything by Tarrega is super tough. You did a fine job!

  • funny how i left julie's page to go to yours & see the same song. . . sounds like a lot of fret buzz & fast hops. you might be good, but your nieve and arrogant & it shows here lol. so much for today's youth.

    GOOD JOB JULIE!!

  • I too, had a quick look at your version of this piece. Your guitar is out of tune ( 0:00 to 1:48).

  • -.- my guitar isn't out of tune, i tuned it just before playing it. the only thing that's out of tune is your audit.

  • very nice!

  • Wonderful

Classic music is wonderful, it must be in our soul because there are not many people who like it. I started playing this sheet, tarrega has many wonderful sheet. Congratulations, you have a great tallent :))

    Danny

P.S. You are soooo cute. You look exactly like my girlfriend from the 80's.

  • Cool. That's a hard piece. Nice tone. What did you use to record it?

  • Hello alt7111,

I used Mac's iSight and built-in mic. Thanks for watching!

    Regards,

    Julie

  • Cool. I've been thinking of uploading a vid to youtube, but most of the vids I see recorded without good gear sound pretty bad- cheap mics seem to really cut everything excepCt the harsher midtones. Not that my tone is anything to write home about, but no reason to make it worse ;).

Anyway, you sound good here. Nice clean attack. I'll be interested to see how you progress with this piece.

  • hi very nice

do you play it win Dropped D Tuning ?

  • Hello ShayCsper!

    Yes.

  • I understand this Key2. But I think it belonged underneath Vinny's comment on the next page!

    Well said all the same!

  • thank you for writing that! It does belong as a comment on to Vinny's post :o)

  • Beautiful

  • Thanks, Pitcairn2!

  • Great work, well on the way to becoming a polished piece & hey it does look really difficult. Love the smile and energy as well. Bravo!!

I'll comment about a couple of chords as well! They seem out of place somehow.

  • Thanks, Dave. I look forward to your first post.

    Regards,

    Julie

  • Terrific - Tarrega's music is always difficult to play.

  • u r cute and loved ur smile u r a god guitar player keep going

  • Thanks, MRZEROO!

  • That looks like hard work !,,nicely played with a lot of life and an unusual choice. Take no notice of vinnothelizard as making obscene comments on here is probably as near as he gets to talking to a woman. Please post some more for all of us music lover

  • Thanks a lot, freshmanstargazer!

  • bravo !! or brava ? congrats anyway.. you play wonderfully and it's not an easy piece ... i disagree on a couple of chords .. unless my ears are mistaken .. but it doesnt matter.. the polka is very pleasant

  • Thanks a lot, mayabis!

    Your ears may be right!

    Regards,

    Julie

  • Firstly, this is certainly not rubbish. It is very well played at her stage of development.

Secondly, it seems she already possesses a fully functional little finger, so the invitation to play with yours appears redundant.

Thirdly, I am in awe of your monumental intellect.

  • shocking !

  • nice song. well played! it sounds fun! i might try to learn this one myself after i finish learning the one i'm working on now.

  • Thanks a lot, thebyeandbye!

  • a nice change of pace from what i've been watching... you seem a little shy and reserved... when i trying to play, i sound like i'm trying to play... if i am just listening to myself play then it becomes free and flowing...

    =]:)>~

  • Hi Mike!

Yes, in front of the camera (& audience) I'm shy... but not when I'm playing alone. It is a skill I have to develop. Thanks for commenting!

    Best regards,

    Julie

  • this isn't a very difficult piece....see my executions for a little "medium difficult" pieces....

  • Thanks, The Wall! Will check out your videos.

  • well played great piece of music

  • Thanks a lot, Ralfiona!

  • Beautiful! Lovely! This piece seems to have a since of humor. Maybe its just me. I love Francisco Tarrega. He is one of my myspace friends so he is still alive.

  • Please tell me you are kidding. He is as dead as bell-bottom pants, I assure you.

  • Jolly song played with flare, sounds as sweet as you are

All the power to you my dear

  • Julie,

No sabia de esta pieza. Donde la encontraste? Hay muchas ideas buenas en esta obra. Gracias por mostrarmela.

    Chao

  • very beautiful!

    Congratulation.

  • Wow Julie!!

    Marcos

  • Another great video, (if I did't mention it all ready--but that okay), I love good music!

  • excellent ! congratulation !

  • COMPLIMENTI VERI GOOD CIAO

  • Wow... nice!! I haven't heard that one before! It's quite a bit more light-hearted than what I would associate with Tarrega.

  • That is a catchy tune. I would not have guessed it was by Tarrega. It sounds like a Bavarian Polka.

  • great jop. ;)

  • Felicidades. Me gusto mucho

  • Really beautifull.

    Congratulation.

  • Very good as usual. 5 stars!

    Ciao,

    Massimo

  • Dear Julie! I have been waiting for this!! LOL And you did it! You heard my prayers! Thank you. This is so great to listen to! I love this piece and know it's hard to play! You did a 5 star job!

    H+K
