@cha5 I'm a fan of Tezuka's manga, and I think this movie successfully brought Astro into life in CGI. He looks great, the movie is awesome! Exciting and touching and very funny in parts. I'm getting the DVD.

I'm willing to give this movie a chance. It doesn't look stupid like Dragonball Evolution! I like Robots and I like Megaman hopefully this will be better than I expected. I do have high expectations for this movie. I predicted A Live Action Dragonball Movie would be a total flop and I was right!

At least Astroboy isn't live action so there is more creative leeway than would be possible in live action.

Actually anime drawn people don't look like any race. When was the last time you saw a Caucasian with HUGE eyes and a tiny almost nonexistent mouth and nose? XD Lets not forget neon green, purple, and blue are natural shades for hair color for anime people. It's just a drawing style. And there are anime that clearly are drawn to show Asians like AKIRA but that's because it's drawn more realistically than most. :)
