  • You forgot Reggie Jackson. Leonard and Reggie were my uncles. Great song. Thanks for posting. Leonard sang in my wedding. Both are no longer with us and dearly missed.

  • @casualtn3 Hey!! I could never forget Reggie. I've got him in there, and I can only say this-- Your uncles made some great records. Definitely a part of the Chicago Soul Legacy of the 60's. Pookie

  • Sweet :)!

  • I was playing with a group from Wisconsin and we played backup for them often. The band was called The Continentals.

  • It was indeed Monk Higgins who both Wrote and Produced This Track, released on St Lawrence No 1020. Still gets occasional plays in The UK at Northern Soul Nights as does The Mighty Lover. Nice Track. KTF Dave

  • i remember richard pegue would play all of the old dance numbers in a set on his show on WGCI chicago and he would play "shake a tail feather" by the five du-tones,"monkey time"by major lance, and "gorilla" by these guys. Satelite & St. Lawrence put out great Chicago records just as One-derful!,Chess and all the rest! did monk higgins have anything to do with production on this? i just love it,first time hearing it,but love it!!
