i use a 3mm suit. I do not think wearing or not wearing a suit makes a difference on fish behavior

Do you still own the Seac? If so, I would suggest changing the speartips on the shaft when your fishing bigger fish. The break away tips keep the shaft from bending. I think I may buy one of those seacs to add to my arsenal, thanks for the info and great videos, keep em coming!

That's another great video but let's talk about that gun! It looks like it has great range and power, everyone I spear with kinda frowns on pnuematics but that one really impresses me. How do you like it?

@steventownes The gun is very powerful and fun to shoot. It has a special muzzle that does not allow water to enter inside barrel. This makes the gun dry shoot the shaft. The shaft goes super super fast. The gun is very powerful and shoots with very little recoil. I am shooting bigger fish now and the problem that I encountered is that 7mm shafts bend easily. I am now using a Denton 120 and it fires a 7.5mm south African shafts. Those shafts don't bend easily.

@wishiwasgoodatguitar Any reef fish that eats other reef fish can possibly have cig. I don't shoot cudas because I don't like to eat them and they aren't really a challenge. We were making a DVD for an entry level spearfishing so I shot a cuda. The cuda was not wasted. I gave it to a Haitian man when we got back to the boat ramp. His eyes lit up with happiness.

i must not be lucky at all cause i spearfish in the keys all the time and i never see schools of amberjack, nor ever see one as stupid as to swim right into my gun! if you spearfish a lot there give me an email. my boat and gear is in sunshine key im sure you know where that is. always looking for a new adventure and buddy.

@Kingrob0326 omg i get depressed seeing how close those fish have gotten to you.. lol don't take this the wrong way but when anything is that close its make it look easy... when in reality amberjack is a pretty hard fish to shoot since they are actively fast moving fish. and btw one of those last shots at the mahagonay snappers was a pretty nice shot!

Seac 115cm pneumatic. I have about 50m of 1.75mm dyneema on the reel and i am about 3-5 miles out.

video is dependent on size of memory stick. I have 16gb stick in it and holds video for all day. You need 2 batteries though to film all day.

I can honestly say that's some of the best shooting I've ever seen - you have an amazing 'stone' rate on your shots.

What is a tovarich kit? Does it improves speed of shaft? I thought that pneumatic spearguns cannot deliver sush accurate shots!!

Tovarich kit seals the gun so water does not enter the barrel. When the spear is fired, the inside barrel doesn't have any water to slow it down. This makes the gun more powerful, faster shot, and more buoyant.
