Nine years in the majors. Fairly acceptable .284 batting average. Played over 140 games in one season...only THREE times. Hit 20 or more homers only THREE times. Drove in 100 RBI *once* (contract year). He's a so-called "five tool" player, but never stole more than 19 bases. And the past three seasons, his high was *four* stolen bases. No All-Star appearances. No Gold Gloves or any other awards.

Again...NOT worth $70 million!

Yes to answer your question I am still really happy with our offseaon aquisition of JD Drew. Why would I want to rethink my decision when everyone knows that this is not JD Drew. He will come around and come october he along with the entire Red Sox team will be doing just fine. Oh and by the way JD is a huge upgrade from Nixon don't get me wrong I loved what Trot did for us but he's not what he used to be unlike drew who will get much better as he gets used to being in Boston.
