You can get and effect similar to 355mm adapter if your camera has a touch screen and a spot focus mode.

I find Depth of Field adapters to be unnecessary, mainly because I've seen tons of great films without DoF Adapters, and they look fine. There is a movie called "White Red Panic" made with the HV20, and it uses no DOF adapters. It's mostly the raw hv20 lens, and that film made it into the Sundance film festival.
