  • horrible mix

  • lupe too sick

  • They're both awesome

  • you idiots.

  • @youngj1921 you do realize Lupe said himself he was afraid of doing a track with Talib because Talib would outshine him... this is proof.

  • @Drizzle8481 n when did he say this n lupe did better imo

  • Comment removed

  • just because no one can understand how you speak, don't necessarily mean that what you be sayin' is deep.

  • wouldve been a great collab but this is obviously a collage. nice try.

  • Uh, he didn't make this song with Talib, it's a different beat on old lyrics.

  • What's with the Lupe pics during Talib's verse?

  • talib part is from reflection eternelle good mourning

  • @TheHypaLink oh, i dont like Just Might Be Okay so I dont really know the verses. Rest of food and liquor i pretty much know off by heart except got your back and another one...

  • sorry...is this real? lupe and kweli collab? why was I ever not aware of one of the best things which has happened to hip hop?

  • @MrCommenterguy Not it's not a real collab. It's clearly the verse from Just Might Be Okay and sampling Gemini from the same chorus.

  • @MrCommenterguy you would have, its fan made!

  • @MrCommenterguy I know right

  • Lupe should join Good Music :)

  • if lupe fiasco started a duo wit j cole and talib kweli hip hop would change ina very good way

  • my theory, Kweli found Kanye, kanye helped Lupe get into the world, so lupe is a product of Kweli and one DAMN good one.

  • The beat is garbage and the hook sounds terrible. How in the world did you manage to make lupe and kweli sound bad?

  • This track is fire.

  • hot damn!

  • 0:28 lupe looks like cassidy

  • U ALL ARE WRONG 2 PAC NAS BIG

  • @baltimoresilk

Sorry out of 2pac Nas and Big Ill take Nas as #1, tupac 2nd place and big is just an illiterate retard

  • @mohab18 nas would even say pac was in still is the G.O.A.T THEY ALL WANT RAP LIKE PAC AND BE ABLE TO TOUNCH LIKE PAC DID THE ONLY OTHER ENTERTNER WHO ON HIS LEVEL IS MJ

  • @baltimoresilk

I grew up listening to 2pac, I use to listen to him more than anyone else, but after listening to other rappers like Mos Def, Nas, Talib, Jayz I can tell there are others who put more effort and meaning into their words. Thats why I like Nas and Lupe more just cause they speak the truth, they ain't talking about ghetto gangstas, heaven for a G. Instead talking about reality and encourage others to be better and get educated.

  • @mohab 18 your right but that there truth all people are not reader or can not break down some of the rhymes and I say pac is the best comcater cause you can understand what he talk bout with out alot of thought but i fucks wit lupe kweli n mos def but u know if there was no pac there would be no them pac siad it hes self he might not start the revolution but he would spark the Brain that would

  • @baltimoresilk

Check it, people like 2pac had it all,the fame, known as the best while living, I just don't see why he had to stick with the way he was instead of influencing others like what Lupe raps about. He died when he was barely 25, due to mixing up with street gangs and instead of saying I am done with that, he would represent it. I will always respect 2pac, but he would be alive right now changing the masses into a greater good, than what any other rapper can.

  • @mohab18 tru but more easy said then done when u are who u are that what it at 25 Malcolm x was a street dude name reds martin Luther king would have die at 25 we would have never new him for what he grow to be where pac come from USA could not let him grow up look what they did to his family think bout it

  • and why wud u mix that talib verse its from his first album like common now. Get sumthin more modern on this weak ass beat.

  • @waki1996 do u know he didnt ddo this with lupe...kweli's verse is taken from Good Mourning on his Train of Thought album

  • @datkidepik93 Nup....but its mixed from Kweli's song called, Good Mourning off the Train Of Thought Album....Vote up so others can witness the original shit

  • is this an official mix?

  • MURS is better than ur favorite rapper. ...

  • This sounds like it could make it big on the radio...ILL beat...ILL lyrics...ILL flow...CATCHY chorus...VERY meaningful message. But yet its not...what a fucked up world we live in.

  • These are two different songs guys, wake up. Im not going to say the mix is amazing but i will say that the lyrics on the verses are tight, always will be. Star quality right there. More credit please?

  • Kweli's verse is from the song "Good Mourning" off of the Reflection Eternal Train of Thought Album

  • just might be ok

  • damn i cant believe he made a song wit talib kweli

  • @DaPromoTiOnAL wtf thats a great thing talib kweli is great and so is lupe what are you talking about plus they are close

  • @waki1996 LMFAO wtf i didnt say it was a bad thing , i just said i cant believe it , as in it was unexpected

  • @DaPromoTiOnAL lol my bad XD i cant really tell tone through internet :P

  • @DaPromoTiOnAL Lupe Fiasco's verses are taken from the track 'just might be OK'

  • @DaPromoTiOnAL He didnt. This is some amateur remix

  • @DaPromoTiOnAL He didn't. Kwelis vers is from Good Mourning from the Refection Eternals first studio album Train Of Thought!

  • @DaPromoTiOnAL ..You stupid fool Kweli dont fuck with mainstream rappers u stupid hannah montana, selena gomez fan...fuck outta here...ma nigga kweli fucks wit talent.

  • @LeuntenantZero Lupe Fiasco is talent, nuff said. Can't say shit about him, he's probably better then Kweli. Also, Lupe actually turned down Talib Kweli. The songs are Lupe Fiasco's "Just Might Be OK" and Talib Kweli's "Good Mourning". Both off classic-quality albums (Food & Liquor and Relfection Eternal).

  • @youngj1921 ..haha okay joker, ive had enough laughs for the day, u say Lupe is better than Kweli...lol. Your boy Lupe has gone mainstream and sonn he will doing collabos with Tyga and Lil Chukee, Please Lupe has lyrics but as an overall artist Kweli is miles ahead, you doubt me, go ask Jigga who is favourite rapper is,,Interview 1996

  • @LeuntenantZero Friend of the People > Gutter Rainbows

  • @youngj1921 im a huge fan of lupe but friend of the people was garbage. Gutter Rainbows was a great album.

  • @pLaNbAKeR922 I liked Gutter Rainbows, but I couldn't get into it. Friend of the People had good lyrics although some very questionable beats.

  • @LeuntenantZero loool jay z wanted to sighn lupe but he denied only reaosn he made mainstream songs was cuz of Atlantic lupe is better in every aspect.. collabs with lil chuckee lmfao n tyga has good songs n there differnt type of hip hop music its a culture there the music , dance , style etc what a joke u r lmfao.. lil chukee is bad but u dont know any thing bout the artist ur talking bout

  • @goodmusicthumbsup hahaha haters of Kweli are illiterate like this guy

  • @DaPromoTiOnAL You sayin' that in a good or bad way?

  • they need to do more songs together

  • I doubt kweli was referring to lupe with that line, pretty sure he was more referring to the people who rhyme about non sense shit like lil wayne and it doesnt make sense and then people think is deep. Cuz first of all if you dont understand lupe that means you aren't smart enough to understand his lyrics. Its nowaday youth that dont understand shit, how about people like big l or biggie i guess they must suck too because people kids nowadays dont understand them either

  • @thestorrywarrior Agree with most you say, but it's not kids, it's American kids. Here in Amsterdam most kids love big, pac, lupe, talib, pun, etc, because we raise our kids the correct way:). Peace

  • @MrShakesify too fucking true... all irish guys listen to is the real lyrical things mostly... like fucking mos def talib pun big eminem immortal technique apathy etc

  • @MrShakesify Man, you have better/more intelligent hip-hop, better/most intelligent football, and the Nike Air Max 1 is pop culture icon... What am I still doin here... haha

  • if yall feelin kweli yall listen to my song its poppin

  • I'm still searching for a lupe song I can't keep off replay

  • 18 ppl thought dislike meant dis-i-like

  • where'd the sample for this beat come from? sounds familiar

  • @MarkMoon936 "Just Might Be Ok" by Lupe Fiasco ft. Gemini off the album "Food & Liquor"... Post

  • @1214gooner thanks man

  • fucking horrible remix,just horrible

  • why the hell is there no replay button on youtube???

  • @abblegum man that was funny but mean...the chorus was ayt but the rap was deep..

  • lupe fiasco and talib kweli is picture painted worth a million dollars d.2.i for life

  • talib kweli, real poetry lol

  • lupe!

  • this is dope but I would rather hear an original song featuring these two

  • @UnlimitedProdiction1 Them and Mos Def need to get together and make a new blackstar.

  • The sample is from You Just Might Be OK and so is Lu's verse, but where's Talib's from?

  • @SunRider09

Talib's verse is from Good Mourning from the Reflection Eternal album Train of Thought. It's a classic too

  • My two most favorite hip hop artists! <3 Lupe & Talib

  • LUPE AND TALIB, this is to heavy for me :D

    AMAZINGGG

  • WHY THE FUCK WOULD U DISLIKE THIS

  • Lupe iz the best rapper alive..hands down

  • @tetrisking09 HELL NAH TALIB KWELI BURNS LUPE .... LUPE STILL SICK BUT NO WAY HE IS BETTER THEN TALIB u must be 13 years old to say such things ...

  • @tetrisking09 Ehhh...

    Best mainstream rapper MAYBE

Lupe is amazing yes. and his mind is beautiful.

but when their is rappers like common, kweli, Blu, Jay electronica, Nas. its hard

  • @tetrisking09 you are stupid he got skillz no doubt but no the best alive!!

  • @YIKEZZZZ name me one thats better in both delivery and lyrics

  • @tetrisking09 Not THE best alive I'd say .. but top 5 no doubt. I'd say Black Thought is the best right now, followed closely by Lupe, Mos and Kweli.

  • @tetrisking09 how about instead of hand down how about thumbs down......you forgot about someone.....NA$TY NA$

  • @tetrisking09 LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! KWELI, DEAD PREZ, COMMON... This kid ain't even on that level yet, he's not a product of real hip-hop, he's what Fabulous was when he first came out, and that's all!!!! Kweli don't belong on this track because this beat and the chorus are fucking wack!!

  • @Str8Rydah11 You are very unintelligent... The song by Lupe called "Failure" alone, makes him miles greater than any rapper who ever lived... Including those you listed...

  • @tetrisking09 Ur kidding right? u probly never even understand what hes talking about u just like his flow and thats why he fukin ur mind. TALIB IS THE BEST EVER HE IS THA TRUTH OF HIP HOP. BANGING ON UR EARDRUM!!!!

  • @tetrisking09 i love lupe, but also hip hop and that was quite the rediculous statement lol.

  • @tetrisking09 I feel youu bra...but he da 2nd rite nah till eminem dies or overdoses(hopefully he stays clean) but he aint fuckin wit shady

  • @tetrisking09 with skills fo˙sho but not with discography!!

  • @tetrisking09 mos def would fuck him up even til now.

  • @TheJro805 mos and lupe are my 2 favs but lupe would absolutely fuck up almost every body rapping wise mos def can flow better but lyrically nobody nobody nobody nobody nobody nobody nobody nobody nobody nobody is fuckin with lupe

  • @69killlluminati69 hmmmmm.....thats pretty debatable. jus cuz YASIIN BEY hasnt done much lately.

  • @TheJro805 scratch that just copped ecstatic and i was trippin not thinkin yasiin is lyrical dude is bonkers but lupe is still top 5 all time lyrically with pun, thought, common, and pac mos def overall however is a better mc imo though lol

  • @69killlluminati69 ok now im confused lol you kno yasiin bey is mos def right? O.o

  • @TheJro805 lol yeah i was just in my homeboys studio with him dude is hilarious

  • @69killlluminati69 what you know mos def?! dang awesome.

  • @TheJro805 lol i just went with my homeboy who prolly would be the best rapper alive if he drops his album but he says he dont want to make it big but even mos was given him crazy props he said hed murder almost anybody rappin right now

  • Honestly, I don't think this beat is that bad off. It's pretty solid. I love the switch on Lupe's second.

It sounds pretty good for a Youtube video I really didn't want to see.

  • 2 favorite mc's on an overloaded beat...

  • @uatndorfa mine too!

  • @uatndorfa two of mine too

  • gotta shot whoever made this beat..

  • eh im not feel this one... the beats almost too heavy for lupes voice.. i love lupe but im not feelin when he does this kinda stuff

  • @JordanSeriously it's a remix bro

  • they needa make a real song together...and release as a single

  • How did these 2 wicked bad ass mc's end up rappin with such a shit hook. The beat is ok but that is one of the worst hooks i've ever heard, completely kills the tune, i cringe just before it comes in, can some one edit this please please please.

  • @MegaAJay2010 it's a remix...

  • beat is wack

  • those two need make an official song together!!! there are some duo songs we need to hear : Kweli/Fiasco, AZ/GZA, NAS/Shady

  • Great mix... i wanna download it!

  • you know what? im christian. i listen to all kinds of music. i dont know if talib or lupe are muslim and quite frankly i don't care. i like them. their music means something. im not gonna run anybody else's lives and dont let anybody run mine. i just dont believe what they believe and i decide not to fight about it. there

  • great song! like the beat

  • "Just Cuz No One Can Understand How Speak, Doesn't Necessarily Mean That Wat You Are Saying Is Deep." I always say that shit, good to hear someone else say it. Especially Talib Kweli.

  • Lupe's verse is from "Just Might Be Ok"

  • u guys think lupe and kweli are havin a little battle on the song?

my friend pointed out that theyre kinda throwin shots at eachother n it sounds kinda like theyre jus havin some friendly battle goin on

  • @boombox602 Lupe's verse is from Just Might Be Okay and Kweli's verse is from Good Mourning - neither of them wrote the lyrics expecting the other one to be on the song.

  • @EJMH for real yo.. someone jus mixed that shit then

well thanks for the clarification man

  • @boombox602 so this isnt really a real song just something somebody made n put on youtube

  • @inadey nah man someone jus cut verses from other songs of theirs

  • Even if we do accept those premises, take a look for a split second at who is dumbing it down.

There are rappers out there who I guarantee you that you can't figure out. Some of them are referencing everything from classic novels to political events from decades ago.

On the other hand, you understand Lupe. He's dumbing that stuff down for you.

All in all, much love for Lupe, but if I had to put my finger on his best, I'd go back to Food & Liquor, not the new stuff.

  • @Spe3ding , like kweli says, just because no one can understand how you speak, don't necessarily mean what you are saying is deep. lyricism is not defined by complexity. a rapper can use simple rhymes and structures to effectively convey thoughts and emotions to listeners. true lyricism is about connecting thoughts and emotions with one's audience, not confusing them.

cause for many like myself, music is not about deciphering, its about expression. if u want a puzzle, go for a crossword

  • @bdoyle23 yeah, i see where youre coming from but you can have a song thats "confusing" but truly lyrical. Im not saying that you have to be confusing to be lyrical, but it really does help. Try out Real Earth by Cannibal Ox (Vast Aire) or Failure by Lupe himself.

  • @bdoyle23

Thank you finally someone understands, Complexity does not make you better than anyone, like Canibus, his stuff is just really made of alot of large words and him talking about theories and scientifical subjects but really his songs lack real meaning. He goes from talking about a philosophy to how much smart he thinks he is than everyone else.

  • @bdoyle23 Exactly it's all about the message not the way you express it .

  • @bdoyle23 I disagree, people can have lyrics written for them that connect ideas and thoughts, only the minds with the true talent, cats like Lupe, can convey a single thought in five different ways and make you think your solving a puzzle, it's just that he's so far above everyone else, his mind works on that level and we have to decipher it down here on the surface.

  • @Compton3clipsed , i wasnt talking about lupe. everything u said is right, i dont think we disagree, i think u took my comment out of context. i was just saying that complexity is not everything. like u said, it can be a great skill for MC's. like how lupe uses rhymes and words with multiple meanings. I think jigga might be the best at using rhymes with multiple meanings. u listen to the bars all the time and each time you come away with new meanings or new messages. that is skill no doubt

  • @bdoyle23 Your point is valid, I was just providing and i.e. for how complexity can be it's own rewarding art.

  • @bdoyle23 so doesn't that go against Lupe's style and flow?

anyway I still think Lupe's the best i Dont want no nursery rhymes if music was about expression then yea today its the state that you're talking about. People like Gucci mane can become famous and make money that they don't even deserve to have. But you're wrong it should be about deciphering now because industries are going to ruin Hip-Hop

  • @bloodmoney52 it was just about how being intricate and deciphering, going out of your way to write complex rhymes, doesnt make you an MC. its just one ingredient upon many. Lupe is a great MC for many reasons, not just one. It doesnt go agaisnt Lupe's whole style, really it just shows how it's Lupe's versatility that really puts him over the top

  • @bdoyle23 nice perfectly said brah

  • @bdoyle23 as much as I want to agree I wont, for one reason if that is the case then all of Lupe's songs become pointless as all of thema re very complex with metaphors, similies and reference, also if your lyrics are simple they are for main stream audience and FUCK that audience.

  • @Zulluhead , If Lupe's only skill set was complexity, he would never have reached the amount of success he has. And why are you so close-minded to main stream media? doesnt make much sense, considering many artists, like Lupe himself, aspired to have that cross over appeal in the mainstream and make some real money. but hey, if blind hate and close-mindedness is what you are about, it only displays how negatively you view the world and how insecure you are about yourself.

  • @bdoyle23 Lupe =/= mainstream.

  • @bdoyle23 But most 90's type rappers which Lupe is crafted after rapped "confusing" and yes it's actually cool when deciphering lyrics it works ya mind and you have a good time at the same time.

  • @jspears19 Yea it can be fun, but it's fucking disappointing when you decipher a song just to discover that it still a bunch of bull shit.

  • @JohnMega20x yea in the nineties or mid 90's it was a lot of shooting drugs and stuff in that nature in complex lyrics. But Lupe brings different stuff. Which I like.

  • @bdoyle23 God Damn it, well said!!!!

  • @bdoyle23 that is another from of expression.

what about lupe's verses on this and all his other ones like it?

and in a dumbed down age his style is and is in a needed conflict with the times

  • @bdoyle23 so would you say lupe is a lyricst or a complex rapper?

  • @HeLLRaVeN19 , Lupe is a great lyricist and MC. my comment was in regards to another user's comments. I was just proving a point that complexity is not how lyricism is measured or defined.

  • @bdoyle23 I know, just wanted to hear your opinion since you know what your talking about :D

  • @bdoyle23 Check out The Stimulants

  • @bdoyle23 i feel wut u gettin at but...i like when niggas spit shit where i gotta figure out slick wordplay n shit...stimulats the mind son...instead of hearin regular rhyme schemes, not only that but it shows versatilaty...not quite the word oi was lookin for but works the same

  • @bdoyle23 evrything you said makes perfect sense but dnt u think dat ilistening to a song which makes you actually reflect on the meaning of those rhymes.... hence look at the state of hip hop 2day and you can't tell me ,dat artists which are considered to represent hip hop ,their songs dnt lack substance which all of lupe's songs contain.

  • @bdoyle23 thats real shit

  • In stating that Lupe has some of the best lyricism out there, you're making two serious implications, both of which I disagree with.

First, that you are familiar with all the underground emcees out there and can decipher the meanings of their songs.

Second, that you fully understand Lupe's lyrics. If they are, in fact, that complicated, then what makes you think that a bunch of kids can figure it all out?

  • "Video and Lyrics"

Its just pictures and there is a rain check on the lyrics... lol

  • i know exactly what you mean i love lupe i still havent deciphered the whole song of failure yet :p the man is unreal

  • You want a better muslim rapper? ONE BE LO AKA ONE MAN ARMY FROM BINARY STAR.. shitted on.

mutha fucka u eva even hurd of Cyne, Khromozome, Infinito 2017, Fresh Air, Surreal (Double Helix), MhZ, InI, Asheru and Blue Black, The tones, Blu, Pase Rock, the Specifics, Sene (another, better, muslim faithed rapper), Quasimoto and Madlib?prolly all new names to your ignorant ass. If you only knew the whole music game you would see Lupe is almost a joke.Grow up, or at least start by expanding ur mind

  • yo those rappers are cool but lyrically lupe smashes everyone if u dont belive me check out his angels remix anybody wit music taste would say hes dope. hes just diffrent cuz he uses a shit load of metaphors so its kinda hard to understand.

  • The only ones Ive heard of is blu and madlib.

  • lupe is amazin

  • This talib kweli verse sounds like it's from another song...ugh sadly he doesn't fit on this I don't think.

  • I am an Atheist, I terrorize no one for their religious beliefs.

  • ok and? i said nothing about religion. you reply to the wrong comment? i was saying talib didn't fit on the song musically...though his verse is fine.

  • Ya'll are messed up, it's dope Hip Hop and you're arguing about religion, take that ish somehwere else.

  • yes man your right its the verse of good mourning

  • btw love this!

  • hahahaha that was funny: i should slap you with a dictionary!

  • track and a half

  • hold up, Talib Kweli's verse in this is the same he uses for Good Mourning by Reflection Eternal. Is this a remix?

  • @arshilego yeah lupes verses are from a song on his first album, i dont remember the name of it, but it uses the hook part that says after all in it as well. This is just a remix

  • This song is so nice
