My friend got his screenplay picked up and is being produced by the guys that produced The Aviator, The Departed, and Gangs of New York and he told me that William M. Akers' book "Your Screenplay Sucks!: 100 Ways to Make It Great" is the bible of screenwriting. I picked it up last summer and am still learning things from it every day.
Hey, Thanks for the tips!

Have you had a chance to look over the "Triggerstreet" and "Zoetrope All Story" sites?
I find them pretty useful when it come to screenplay info.
I've written two screenplays using the online scriptwear at Scripped.com. A lot of fun.
Celtx is free scritpwear that I'm using, and it works ok. You might want to give it a try.
