there was a pretty huge weird flying insect that got on my monitor the other night so i grabbed him with a pair of needlenose pliers and burned his antennae only off with a lighter. then i wrapped some masking tape around the handles of the pliers and let it chill there for a good 20 mintues before burning the rest of him. i'm not even making this up.
So, insects are different from you therefore you believe a lack of respect for their existance is acceptable? Does that philosophy also apply to dogs, whales, kittens, and cattle?
It's not a question of rank or standing - all living things have an intrinsic value unto themselves that doesn't need to be weighed or valued by human opinion (or greed). Even maggots have a place in the natural world and shouldn't be destroyed without sufficient reason.
@zeekzilch Of course I understand that. All life is equal and interdependent on one another. It's just that we need not be so puritan in dealing with these types of people. Especially to insult them for they do not understand such ecological awareness. I'm trying my best not to be so "holier than thou." But these kinds of people sicken me.
Thankyou i save all insects and bring my daughter up to do the same and respect all life as they have just as much a life on this planet as you and me!!yes shes scared of spiders but i always take them outside using the good old glass/paper technique...... saw someone kill a bee the other day though why?? It did you no harm made me so angry!!! we need more people in the world like you!!!!! :o)
@zeekzilch Your appreciation for life in this world is refreshing for me, because it reminds me that there ARE people that actually cares for nature. Im so fed up with most people these days talking about how their life sucks because they dont have enough materialistic things and so on. Refreshing.
@DEATHBYGHANDI Insects and spiders play an essential role in maintaining equilibrium in our planet's biota. You may think of them as being disgusting, however that is a personal hang up. I'm not opposed to killing insects—you should see what i do to squash bugs and ticks—however most bugs and spiders are lovely little organisms.

Life, in all forms, is rare and precious throughout the universe. Never take the life of another living thing without sufficient reason.

but insects are different from myself and therefore their pain and suffering is of no importance.

@kingcrimson234 What are you trying to prove? That you're better than insects? Your actions proved you to be of no higher standing than mere maggots.
